Michael, AKA MJ The Art Traveller, is a London-based mixed-media artist and who is best known for appearing on Sky Arts Portrait Artist of the Year 2019/20.

After graduating with a Masters in Fine Art and appearing on Sky Arts TV, he has gone on to publicly sell work at craft fairs, plus hosting art workshops for Adults who are diagnosed with Autism and ADHD.


'Based on life experiences and creative wellbeing, I'm looking host Sketchbook Social Events across London that provides a strong focus and connect people's Ways of Seeing together, with experimental Fine Art Drawing techniques.

A thoroughly enjoyable experience with a friendly and effective teacher. Great food and coffee in comfortable and stylish surroundings. I learnt to think about sketching differently and it was worth the fee.

Michael was an extremely experienced teacher that was a wonderful guide during this workshop. They took extra care to make sure that everybody was comfortable and having a good time during the session and provided a range of engaging and entertaining practises to boost peoples artistic abilities and expand their confidence exploring new mediums. Overall I had a brilliant time at Michaels workshop and would definitely recommend others to sign up for these fantastic sessions.
