Are you looking for some creative and soothing things to do in London? Join us and learn how to macrame a gorgeous wall hanging.

This workshop is led by a talented and gentle teacher who will guide you through this ancient knotting technique and give you all the tips and tricks you need to pick up this retro skill. You will cover four different types of knots that are famously used in many macrame designs.

You will begin by securing the yarn to a foraged piece of driftwood, then you'll be making patterns and learn how to keep the right tension. We provide you with all the macrame supplies you need, from natural cotton cording to scissors.

Macrame can be an almost meditative activity and a great way to unwind after a long week.

Once you've finished, you'll be leaving our studio with an authentic seventies inspired piece of DIY home decor. It is sure to add some bohemian flair to any room and impress all your loved ones. You'll also have the skills to keep making other DIY macrame projects at home.

Whether you need a fun party idea, a team-building event or just a relaxing day out in London, this class is perfect!

Restoration London is an independent organisation that is passionate about sustainability within the clothing industry. Their focus is to reuse, recycle and upcycle existing garments and to share this skill with others so they can repair their most loved and most worn clothes.

They hold workshops around London and Thanet area, to encourage students to mend their clothes. They use all sorts of textile methods to fix, deconstruct, customise and revive clothes that you might otherwise throw into a landfill. They want to inspire people to learn a new and invaluable skill, to reconnect with textile techniques, and to use their creativity to minimise their impact on the environment.

They offer workshops for special events such as hen parties and team building events. Their in-person classes come with free tea, coffee and cake— as if learning a new skill didn't entice you enough!
