This art class is specially designed for beginners and improvers so if drawing is new to you or you haven't had a go for a while, this tutorial is an ideal place to connect or reconnect with your creative side.
Focusing on observation and technique, this online drawing class teaches you about drawing in proportion, blending and bringing your artwork to life!
Your video tutorial is filmed from your drawing teacher's Northampton studio and is filmed with two cameras, giving you a view of your teacher as well as a clear and close up view of your teacher's paper so that you can see the drawing process and demonstrations really well.
Try this virtual drawing tutorial and develop your drawing abilities from home. By the end of your class, you'll have gained a range of graphite drawing skills and some new techniques to enhance your work. You'll also have some completed exercises to look back on and a finished piece to show off your skills.

- A4 drawing paper, ideally good quality and smooth.
- Selection of pencils HB to 8B.
- Blending stick (also known as a burnishing stick or tortillion)
- Tissue.
- Ruler.

Your teacher
Lyndell is a self-taught artist and teaches online and in-person classes from her art studio in Northampton.
She specialises in portraits of animals and mainly uses pastels and oils. Lyndell has always been interested in art and remembers many happy hours in the art rooms whilst studying for A level art. Whenever she had free time, she would spend it sitting and painting while talking to the younger students who would come over and see what I was up to before the start of their lessons.
Lyndell's small and friendly workshops are predominately for beginners. Join in and get creating to connect or reconnect with your artistic side!
