At Laoxa Ltd, we believe creativity should be for everyone - no experience needed, just the joy of making something unique, fun, and full of personality.

I’m Lucy Ansa-Addo, founder of Laoxa Ltd - a purpose-driven food and arts brand based in North London. My creative journey began during my caregiving journey, when I started exploring handcrafted accessories, home décor and creative projects as a way to learn and connect. Over time, this grew into a platform that celebrates artistic expression, community connection, and immersive workshops.

I fell in love with rug tufting for its playful textures, bold colours, and limitless design possibilities. What began as a personal creative experiment soon became a passion for guiding others to turn their ideas into tactile works of art. There’s nothing quite like seeing someone’s face light up when they realise, “I made that!”

From Thursday 11th September, join me every week at CRATE, Walthamstow for a hands-on workshop where you’ll create your own 40cm x 40cm mini rug - perfect to display, gift, or treasure forever. Whether it’s your first time holding a tufting gun or you’re a craft enthusiast seeking your next challenge, I’ll guide you step-by-step so the process is simple, fun, and rewarding.
