Kev F Sutherland is a comic writer and artist, working for everyone from Beano to Marvel & now publishing graphic novels adapted from Shakespeare.

His Comic Art Masterclass can teach anyone aged 7 and upwards how easy it is to do.

Kev has worked in comics for thirty years, from Doctor Who Magazine to Viz comic, from Oink to Red Dwarf, from The Dandy to Zig & Zog's Zogazine, and for Marvel he worked on Doctor Strange, Star Trek, Apocalypse 2099, and Werewolf By Night. In the 2000s he was the producer of the UK's Comic Festival and 2000AD's DreddCon.

In 2020 he published three graphic novels adapting Shakespeare into contemporary settings, with twists of his own making: Findlay Macbeth, The Prince of Denmark Street, and The Midsummer Night's Dream Team, all available in paperback.

The Team really enjoyed the session we had with Kev. What a happy and engaging man he is! He step by step helped us to draw in easy stages which then enabled us to produce some good ideas for our storyboard. We would highly recommend this class and teacher to anyone wishing to book this experience.

Absolutely brilliant! Had so much fun!
Wasn't sure about this class as I don't think I can draw but with Kev's instructions, now believe I just need to practice.

Absolutely terrific! I was trying to find something fun for my husband's birthday during lockdown that would work for the kids to get involved in as well. I found Kev and his comic strip class and took a punt - he was BRILLIANT! He is very charismatic and talented and full of stories as well as being great with kids and adults alike. We all learned a lot in the 2 hours and had fun drawing our own characters and comic strips - we have a kitchen table full of drawings now! Thanks Kev, what a great afternoon!
