Whether you want to enjoy crafting from the comfort of your own home or you’re looking to meet new people as you get making, these craft workshops offer something for everyone.

Most of our workshops are led by colleagues from Hobbycraft stores across the UK, including craft experts from our Hobbycraft Artisan programme. They use their expertise in specific areas of craft to create workshops that show participants new skills and inspire future projects.

I attended a Cricut beginners one to one lesson as I had been terrified of getting going.
Gemma was really helpful and showed me exactly what I needed. So now hopefully I can practice what I was shown.
I would definitely recommend this lesson as basically you can ask to be shown whatever you need.

Gemma is a true asset to your business. She was able to keep my daughter engaged for 1 hour whilst she taught her the basics around the Hobbycraft 12s. By the end of the session, my daughter was fully up and running and inspired. It was well worth the £20 for the session - thank you! I think Hobbycraft should push this more via advertising, schools focus so much on academic progress and finding somewhere where my daughter can explore her creativity and passion for craft is a total winner in my book. Our group included neurodiverse children and Jess and Maria were fantastic with the whole group. We had 4 parents with the group and we didn't have to do a thing! Jess explained the task so well they all knew what they had to do and loved it! Will be booking more workshops in the future.

Great value for money. The helper was very friendly with the kids.
The space was a bit cramped- basically a small table in the back corner of the store.
Basic materials were provided - I bought some jewels and stick on eyes from the store.

Was a lovely little class to make the creatures. The air dry clay felt really soft and was not messy at all. The teacher showed us some designs that we could follow and then make our own take of them. My daughter loved making the Halloween creatures.

We enjoyed the activity and the children’s clay is fun to use. The guys running the session were perfect, very friendly and hands on. Various modelling bits were provided including the special spongy clay, googly eyes and pipe cleaners. The only slight problem we had is that it’s tricky to stick the googly eyes to the brand/type of spongy clay we used, as it’s not that sticky in itself. Some kind of adhesive dots that works with that clay would be a good product innovation. Still had a good time though and child pleased with his creations

We made a papier-mâché pumpkin today. We have used the cardboard blanks and painted them many times before, but had not tried the glue and paper. My son is now 7 so more or less trustworthy with glue. Even though it’s a simple process it was good to see what materials were used and to practise it somewhere that wasn’t my house! Now we have bought some materials so we can make a penguin at home

The teacher was brilliant, very helpful as well as patient. She enabled me to become more comfortable with using a sewing machine from making a bobbin to stitching.
The fabric supplied was really beneficial to be able to practice with.
The knowledge of the sewing machines on sales was a bonus to me too with no pressure to buy.

The teacher's Kate & Wajiha were really great, friendly and demonstrated well to the children.
The children really enjoyed the Hama Beads workshop. They all got given a kit to make whatever they like and they got to take the leftovers home.
Maybe the workshop should be slightly longer as the kids just about made their design in the alloted time and had to rush towards the end.

Great experience, loved the activity and the teacher was great and encouraging. Really recommend the acrylic paint pouring especially if you have a variety of artistic ability in your group as it’s great leveller and people can enjoy having fun with friends rather than worrying about comparing. Definitely would book again I would give fabulous if I could.

My 10 year old daughter received a sewing machine for her birthday and having this 1-hour tutorial gave her the confidence to come home, take the machine out of its packaging and set it up herself and get going with some sewing! So much better than trying to work it out for ourselves! Gemma was really clear with her instructions and very helpful and positive and gave us some good tips such as the best cotton to use. It was great that I could sit and watch and ask questions so I could support my daughter if she made an error or forgot something Gemma told her. A really worthwhile investment for anyone just starting out with a sewing machine.

Took my first Cricut lesson today after being intimidated trying to work out how to use it at home. Had the AMAZING Tara at High Wycombe to talk me through the basics. She was patient, knowledgeable and made the whole experience really good fun! We had such a great session, I have already booked another for next week as she has demonstrated that the use of the machine I have is endless. I would like to thank Wajiha for such a wonderful hama bead class.

Having a very welcoming and positive personality, I knew the atmosphere was perfect for my 5 year old.

Wajiha took her time to explain to my daughter how hama beads work as it was her very first time with this experience and she really engaged in a manner that my daughter feel relaxed and comfortable before the class to get started.

I would definitely recommend this class and the price is fantastic. My daughter has been showing friends and family her wonderful Hama bead art praising her teacher (Wajiha).

This was a great activity for the coronation but was a bit ambitious on time and age suitability.
I was recommended 3+ but my 4 year old struggled, it was really fiddly! And to be fair, I struggled helping her too!
We were also there over an hour for a 30 min class. Wasn’t a problem as we weren’t tied to the time, but the timing should be more realistic when booking.

The Place was quite nice but the music above your head was a bit distracting as being a bit def was the only thing I would say put me off. I really enjoyed the course overall. Kate was lovely. The kit was great and I learned how to do a Dutch pour, which I loved. To prevent bubbles forming there really needs to be something to spray on / over or something to prevent this happening as it spoils the wonderful effects created. Several customers stopped to ask questions aboutthings in store as the table was right by the lift.

Teacher was very helpful and friendly, she made sure I first had the basics of brush control (drawing thick and thin lines with calligraphy pen) before then moving onto the calligraphy writing. Definitely worth the money as it includes a calligraphy kit with calligraphy pens, practise writing sheets, card, a notebook and gift tags. I have already used this skill for my Christmas gift tags on presents! Would recommend.

Great value for money! My 2 boys made a few tree decorations today and a couple of Christmas cards each. Plenty of materials to use and the lady who did this with us was really calm and friendly. She explained everything so that they could understand and they had a great time.

Great workshop. Such a lovely time, from being welcomed by Hobbycraft staff and teacher, being made a much needed cup of tea, the excitement of opening the box of goodies - felt like such a treat. I have just spent time at Hobbycraft making a rattan wreath. The class was tucked away in a corner and was cosy. The teacher was very knowledgeable and gave us great tips, while leaving us to our own idea. I thoroughly enjoyed it and ended up with a wreath I can be proud of.

The venue was nice as secluded at the back of the shop. Mary was fantastic and added additional items to our selection so we could really make our wreaths look amazing.
The store manager also popped over to see how we were getting on and made sure we all felt welcome.

The teacher was nice but the space in the High Wycombe shop was really not great. The workshop happened on a small table on the store floor which means that shoppers were everywhere around. I probably won't do other classes in this store for this reason.

Store easy to get too. The one to one session with Cheryl was really good. I felt at ease and made to feel welcome. I got to ask specific questions about my level of experience with the equipment. Everything was explained well along with the demonstrations. Plus Cheryl gave me some useful tips. It has given me more confidence in using my cricut machine. I did find the session helpful in that it made me realise almost everything I hoped to do with my Cricut wasn’t possible or would be cheaper if I got a specialised company to do it for me. I think the only thing I could use it for would be to cut of labels that I drew and printed out on my printer so it’s a lot of money for basically an electric pair of scissors.

The class was good. It was my second because I had a few things I wanted to review after my first.

What was slightly disappointing was that the teacher had not been informed a class was booked. Therefore when I arrived nothing was set up - in fact the table used for the lessons was covered in boxes.

However, the teacher, Nalda, and a colleague quickly cleared the table and set up a machine.

This lady is an excellent teacher and, if you have a brand new machine or simply want to learn about whatever machine you have, this is definitely the right place to come. Please don't hesitate.

I left with my questions answered, good advice received on what accessories might be helpful (but no hard sell), some new sewing skills and some 'sewing machine driving test' templates to help me hone these useful skills. I now feel properly prepared to start some simple projects and encouraged to seek out some more advanced sewing lessons.

What a brilliant teacher Nalda is. I am a complete novice with very little experience of sewing. She explained everything step by step and as many times as I wanted. Having explained how and why you did certain things in a certain way, she showed me how to thread the machine ( I was using exactly the same machine as I have at home so if you can't find the right machine on the drop down list when you book, please message them and they will try to find you the right machine). Nalda then watched and guided me gently as I repeated the exercise. I went on to learn how to thread the bobbin and put it into the machine, to insert the needle before finishing with some sewing exercises mainly designed to teach me pedal control. She was always very patient, knowledgeable and encouraging.
It was exactly what I needed.

Nalda was encouraging, professional and so knowledgeable that I no feel to practise at home and then book another lesson to refine my newly acquired skills

It was good to show the chn pictures of ideas at the beginning (on a phone) but might have been good to have pictures available on the table. The teacher didn't really actually teach any techniques but my daughter enjoyed making her clay models.

My 4 year old daughter loved making the pom pom bunnies. All equipment you use to make the pom pom's you get to keep to make more at home. The teacher was fantastic with the little ones, really engaging with them. You also get to make two and she recieved an Easter egg to take home too. Would definitely go again.

Really good workshop. This one was a group one, we attended one on Saturday which was a 1:1 so the experience allowed my Daughter to interact with other children.

We only moved here a week ago :) so this is a great way to get to know others.

Mary was very calm and encouraging to the group to take the activity at their own speed :)

Even my Mum is now looking forward to her crochet class which is on the waiting list for :)

We had a great experience with Out teacher Wajiha :)

It was our first ever class and it was a great one. We was all able to join in which was really nice to do as a family.

Maya was asked lots of appropriate questions about the topic ( Easter) and was explained each step very carefully.

Great to be able to take props home and ofcourse the winner Easter egg prize at the end :)

We have lots move classes booked for this half term. And we can or wait :)

My daughter had a great time at this workshop! The teacher (Chrystal, I believe. Sorry if I got your name wrong!) was so helpful and assisted with ideas and glueing pieces on the hat. She was so attentive to each child in the workshop. They’ve provided a load of materials to decorate her bonnet - definitely worth the price of the class and beyond! My daughter was given full creativity and came out with a hectic yet beautiful Easter bonnet. Excited to try more workshops Hobbycraft has to offer in the future.

I have always wanted to try Fluid Art, this was well worth the Money, you receive all the products you need to make multiple designs, the venue is in the shop so if you wanted to buy additional products you can, the teacher encourages you to try different techniques and was very helpful. I had a great time and came away with enough information and products to do loads more items

Great value box - full of lots of lovely goodies. The room where the workshop was hosted is the staff breakout room. It felt a bit cramped and not fit for holding a workshop. It would be better to have a separate area with better lighting, chairs and more space. My daughter enjoyed it and I felt it was good value.

The wreath making session was great! Mary at the High Wycombe branch was very friendly, knowledgeable and made a good cup of tea. The only downside was that the workshop was held in the staff break room, not quite the Christmassy feel we were expecting but overall a very enjoyable workshop.

Gemma was so good! I couldn't have had a wider spec - don't have a machine yet, no idea which one to buy, don't know their full capabilities, want to know everything and anything! She showed me all the machines, explained the differences, gave me pros and cons, didn't push me towards anything in particular, was so knowledgeable, showed me examples and above all was really enthusiastic. Having ummm'd and aaaah'd for ages, thoroughly overwhelmed by all the information online, she cleared through my fog in just one hour! I'm buying my machine this week!

Very pleasant hour where I learnt a lot. The teacher is certainly very knowledgeable about Cricut machines and design space. The time passed too quickly!
What I would like to see are some lessons on using the Cricut Design space. A couple of things I did learn today was about manipulating lines in Design Space.

What a lovely welcome with Cheryl waiting at the door for me. I loved the way the items were boxed up. Cheryl had some great ideas and suggestions. Tips for scene setting were really useful. I was surprised it was only me attending the session and having completed it, I would definitely recommend. I have now purchased 2 larger cloches and a few Christmas items to go inside. I have the glue gun, snow and moss as included in today’s gift. Altogether enjoyable.

We had an absolutely wonderful time at our crochet class. Nalda our teacher was fantastic she took notice that my daughter brought a cuddly toy with her and just that information to keep her engaged in the class. My some Dale got interested in drawing & painting, I felt this class was the best for him to get ahead.
My some had a great & Fanta time. The teacher was easy going, she had lovely & insightful conversation with him and was genuinely interested in his inspiration and thinking.
Good value for money. We were given a box of extra art goodies that Dale can use at home to continue painting.

And an introduction to watercolours, this was very good. Suzanne was a great teacher. Very calm and patient and did well to motivate kids to stay on track. She modelled the skills she taught and gave specific feedback and guidance which my 8 year old valued. The box of bits to take away is also great -lots of bits - and so very much worth the £15.

The young lady Gemma was amazing she took her time teaching me how to use my machine, I had questions to ask and she answered the all and made it so easy to follow. I learnt how to use vinyl and vinyl transfer, how to resize text and change font in the same project then put it back together. Also how to cut card and how to draw, it was a great time and would recommend it to anyone who needs help. I was given the items we worked on I didn’t expect that at all. Thank you so much

Gemma was really lovely and helpful. The hour went quickly but we covered all the questions I had to ask. Venue was a back room office which wasn’t particularly enjoyable and I had to bring my Machine with me as you didn’t have one in stock to demo. Really nice to talk some things through - might be particularly useful if you are working on a specific project that you are stuck with. Make sure you prepare your questions to get the most out of the session.

The lady was lovely and fantastic with the children. Really patient and kind. I was disappointed we didn’t finish the dream catcher though. We started bang on time but It was literally pens down and done after an hour even though it wasn’t complete. For £15 I think we should have finished it. That was very strange and disappointing. Because of this I wouldn’t recommend or do another one.

Suzanna was a brilliant teacher, kind and patient with the kids. Venue was brilliant for a Saturday, not noisy at all. Tools in the pack were perfect and all great value for money. My daughter picked up some blending skills and made a beautiful flower landscape. Very happy and would highly recommend!
