  • 5/5 from Seansn O, attended Jun 2026: I signed up for macaron making simply as something to do, but found a friendly and ethusiastic host who took great care in making sure I had fun and was OK making mistakes. Tea was offered, music was playing and encouragement was forthcoming. I surprised myself with how good my macarons were, but I think the part I enjoyed the most was discussing which flavours to use (how they pair and complement) and how to choose a colour that gives someone a clue about what they're going to taste, but leaves a bit of mystery.

  • 5/5 from Gillian Latimer, attended Feb 2026: Fantastic class - thank you Jojo! Absolutely loved this class. Have tried to make Macarrons in the past but have failed miserably! Jojo was a super teacher, was patient, kind and fun. Her instructions were clear and precise and I do believe we'd be able to make them on our own now. The proof is in the pudding - will send you photos when we do! Would recommend this class to anyone wanting to make Macarrons - it's perfect. Thank you Jojo !
  • 5/5 from Rebecca Morley-Jacob, attended Feb 2026: We had a right old laugh together. Really fun. Great instructions & Jo Jo was a delight. I do think at £60 per head it is expensive though. I think the more people that are there the cheaper per person it should be. Thanks Jo Jo. A really fun afternoon.
  • 5/5 from Shao Yong Chan, attended Feb 2026: The teacher was very friendly and helped achieve good results overall
  • 3/5 from Finja-Sophie Hezel, attended Feb 2026: No comments here
  • 2/5 from Jazmin Mortimer, attended Feb 2026: We were offered to move to Scones class after Macarons instructor was ill. We tried to book donuts the previous week and one of the instructors were also ill, so the donut class was cancelled too. I would say that the teaching of the scones was informative and all the students came out with a lot of scones, but the set up of the class is not a £60 p/p quality. The large room is completely empty except for the 6 students which made it echo and felt like an abandoned warehouse although the rest of the building is really nice looking. We were offered halfway through to connect our phone to their speaker. We passed a single bag of flour along the table for 6 of us which ran out and the teacher had to leave the room to get more. We were then offered to have the scones upstairs with clotted cream and jam which is nice, but instructor was regularly forgetting something and leaving and coming back. My feedback would be to have everything needed in the room from the beginning of the class. Add some decoration to the room to give it more personality and have music already playing ahead of time. It's these small things which would have made me feel better about spending £60 for this class. Finally, our instructor was rude to one of the other attendees. The attendee's 'dough' was not to a good standard and the instructor said "Your scones will be ruined now" in a very awkward way. A professional would have ensured the attendee would have mixed the dough properly before allowing them to proceed to the dough stage so this was actually the instructor's fault. Secondly, if the scones were going to be 'ruined', the instructor should have helped the other attendee redo the dough quickly. It was so awkward and it made me uncomfortable.

  • 5/5 from Agne Ramanauskaite, attended Nov 2025: It’s was lovely experience with my daughter. JoJo was great teacher, explained everything step by step in very easy understandable way. Macaroons tasted superb and we have learnt so much!. One tip for JoJo - would be nice to have bigger variety of flavours. Over all great experience! Definitely worth the money and highly recommend..
  • 5/5 from Richard Fletcher, attended Nov 2025: It was so much fun and they were so happy and kind to us I really enjoyed when we mixed the dye with the egg white I’m so glad I did your course And when we tasted it I was amazed how awesome it was (from my 9yo daughter - was great)!
  • 5/5 from Suniti Majumder, attended Nov 2025: I booked this class for my mum, and since she isn’t very comfortable with English, JoJo let me join her to help translate. JoJo was wonderful—fun, patient, and caring. She made sure all eight participants learned each step, encouraged everyone throughout, and allowed them to go at a pace that felt comfortable. The 2.5 hours flew by. My mum really enjoyed the class—she absolutely loved it. Thank you so much, JoJo. You truly made her day.

  • 4/5 from Alison Tucker, attended Aug 2025: I came with my 11 year old granddaughter. We had a great time. John is a nice teacher who adapts well to working with adults and/or children. Everything was clean and appropriate for the cooking. However the overall venue does not feel particularly suitable for cookery classes. We will keep an eye out for other ClassBento classes to attend
  • 4/5 from Alison Tucker, attended Aug 2025: Learning how to make Macaroons. The teacher was knowledgeable.
  • 5/5 from Caroline Shipman, attended Jul 2025: Was really good our teacher was fab so nice helpful a lovely person. Such a fab morning really enjoyed making macaroons.
  • 5/5 from Chris Nesbitt-Smith, attended Jul 2025: Was amazing looking forward to repeating what learned over the weekend
  • 5/5 from Kathryn Willis, attended Jul 2025: Great class, teacher was super friendly and very knowledgeable!
  • 2/5 from Carol Ip, attended Jul 2025: Overall, the class was quite enjoyable as the ingredients were all prepared for us on the table. I liked how you could choose the macaron flavours and colourings to be more creative. However, the packaging provided in the end wasn’t great. The plastic bags were too small and there weren’t enough boxes for the macarons - also being too small to fit. Unfortunately, when I got back home, most of my macarons were squished in the boxes and plastic bags (shown below). Furthermore, the teacher could have explained the steps more clearly in detail since it was my first time making macarons.
  • 5/5 from Sotisola Longkumer, attended Jun 2025: It was my first time making macaroons and Dora was so patient with me! I loved the sessions and I hope I get another chance to be back
  • 5/5 from Harry Buisseret, attended Jun 2025: Our teacher Dora was really fun!! She had plenty of knowledge and hands on experience to guide us and the vibe was fantastic!
  • 1/5 from Christine Tang, attended Jun 2025: I attended this class recently, The teacher was indeed very friendly. However for me, the class was super simple and basic as I have done workshops previously at BreadAhead which was far more advanced and for me much more worth it, having paid £60 for this class and £95 for Breadahead. The same 3 hour time period but it was for the full 3hours. This class did not go for the full 3 hours that was advertised 2-5pm. It actually finished at 3:30pm so felt a bit shortchanged. Moving forward, I would say this class needs to be advertised as for beginners only with no baking experience. It is not suitable for anyone that has baking exoerience or knowledge.
  • 5/5 from Helen Caley, attended May 2025: Amazing class, exceeded my expectations, I would highly recommend.
  • 5/5 from Vicki Stewart, attended May 2025: We had the most brilliant time. Dora and JoJo were so welcoming and lovely. But we must apologise about the mess on the walls! Dora was very patient with us!
  • 5/5 from Madalana Locke, attended May 2025: Thanks for a lovely morning and making it so much fun. A great friendly atmosphere.
  • 5/5 from Tahera Meah, attended May 2025: Wonderful vibes, great company; Jojo truly made the experience lovely. We left confident in our skills and in a good mood.
  • 5/5 from Sam Hogg, attended May 2025: Had a genuinely lovely time learning how to make macarons! The recipe was super simple and our teacher demoed everything, so despite having some genuine anxiety around my macarons being a little chaotic, there was lots of reassurance that they'd still turn out tasty. Which they did! Our teacher was incredibly easy going and happy to give as much involvement as we felt we needed, with a genuine love of community events like this. Would highly recommend for a fun night out with friends that leaves you with a sense of accomplishment and a tasty dessert!
  • 5/5 from Christina Storzum, attended Apr 2025: Dora was great in teaching us how to make macarons! We learned a lot and it will now be easy for us to make ones! Thank you so much Dora! It was amazing!!
  • 5/5 from James Dedman, attended Apr 2025: Relaxed and friendly teacher
  • 4/5 from Althea Lobo, attended Apr 2025: Such a fun class, the macarons came out well and the teacher was lovely.
