Fourdish started with a simple dream: to create a cafe where great food, beautiful coffee and genuine hospitality come together.
As a woman starting and running my own cafe, I wanted Fourdish to be more than somewhere people simply stop for breakfast or coffee. I wanted it to be a place where people could learn something new, meet others and enjoy the experience of making food and coffee themselves.
My love for coffee grew through the day-to-day life of running Fourdish. I became fascinated by how much goes into making a really good cup of coffee — from choosing the beans and understanding the grind, to getting the milk texture right and learning how small changes can completely transform the taste.
That is what inspired me to start our Fourdish coffee class! For me, teaching coffee isn't about making people professional baristas overnight. It's about making coffee feel less intimidating and more enjoyable.
One of the things that makes my journey special is that Fourdish wasn't created from a traditional hospitality background. I stepped into the world of cafés because I genuinely wanted to build something of my own.
Building a small business from the ground up has meant learning a little bit of everything -- from food and coffee to customer service, menu development, branding and running a team.
Come curious, leave caffeinated -- and hopefully with a new coffee skill you can show off at home!
