What you'll do
These little fellas are more than appealing. They'll bring some hygge while you make them, which will last right through the season when displayed in your home. A mix of Scandi simplicity, natural materials, and handcrafted individuality gives them a subtle charm.
This makes for the perfect family/friends group activity! Make sure to let me know if you want multiple kits posted to the same address.
The kit provides sufficient materials for two tree decorations. Choose between red, dark red, or grey hats and silver (palest grey, mid, or dark grey) beards. It includes equipment for one maker.
When completed your Tomte will be between 15-20cm tall - it much depends on how tall you make their hats.

What you'll get in your craft kit
All the materials you need to make the two hanging Tomtes. Equipment for one person.
What you'll need
Gather from your kitchen:- Teacup
- Cake skewer
- Kitchen sponge scourer, approximately 6.5x9cm (not necessary if you have a needle felting pad)
- Piece of bubble wrap (I can supply this, but some is bound to pop through your door)
- A piece of sponge - I use half a kitchen scourer

Your teacher
Tabletop Workshops is the teaching arm of Purr & Wag It and is run by Heather Fiona Martin.
A graduate of Goldsmiths College, University of London. She is an experienced wet felt maker who for well over a decade has been making felt with people of all ages and with widely differing abilities in educational and community settings across Greater London.
Purr & Wag It (PaW), her wet felted pet portraits and landscapes small business was born out of a gift for her brother. It marries her love of animals with her love for making and in particular pushing the boundaries of fine detail in wet felt making.
Tabletop Workshops, the teaching arm of the business affords Heather the opportunity and the great enjoyment of facilitating others creativity in the relaxed setting of her home in Camberwell. She lives with her daughter and 3 cats. Winnie and the boys will be elsewhere in the house during the workshops but if you have cat allergies Tabletop Workshops may not be the right creative space for you.
Heather holds an enhanced DBS certificate for children and vulnerable adults.
