Make a collage masterpiece using wet-felting techniques. This is a fun textile art that is perfect when you need things to do at home to wake your creativity.

This is a craft kit and video version of my live online workshop and it's great for all ages including children. Be inspired by the abstract painter's Miro, Matisse, Braque and Bauhaus to create your own collage artwork or word art.

The pre-recorded online class will guide you through the steps of this DIY craft. You'll be using pre-felt— a partially processed form of felt to create your designs. It works so well as it can be cut into clean, crisp shapes. You will then use wet felting techniques to bring the layers together. Once it is dry, it can be embellished with stitches and beading.

For those with arthritis or a similar condition in your hands, you may find parts of wet felting more challenging. This does not mean you can't take part and have fun, it might just take you longer.

Shrinkage is part of the wet felting process. For pre-felt, this is between 5-10% for rising to 10-30% for wet felted work starting with wool tops.

If you want a special indoor activity for a birthday party, or community or team-building event, this kit and class are ideal. Everyone can be creative with colourful felt and have fun making their own art. The duration is a guide and can differ based on your design.

Choose the colour of your backing checkout— natural, black, blue or plaster.

Please ensure children use age-appropriate scissors (round tipped "School" scissors will cut the pre-felt).
