Bridging the Gap: Forty Years of Visual StorytellingI have been taking pictures for over 40 years, starting my career in the film era. Using Pentax cameras you have to practice the art of "getting it right in-camera" long before the luxury of an LCD screen existed.Along came digital and we all jumped ship, Nikon, Leica, Fujifilm, Sony, I have used many different systems along the way. Now of course most use a mixture of digital and film for their images.I now run a series of meetups and classes teaching everything from Black & White, Landscapes, Architecture, Documentary story telling, Street and the very basics for beginners.My teaching style is grounded in real-world experience in both film and digital—ensuring that my students learn not just how to operate a camera, but how to develop a lifelong "photographic eye."The best way to learn is to do.
