Craft a Liberty Chain Needle Case at Home

• Fabric A – natural linen – one fat quarter.
• Fabric B – liberty prints – scraps, charm packs approximately ½ metre total – largest piece 12” by 6”.
• Fabric C - felted wool or wool felt in cream for interior pages – one fat quarter.
• Fabric D - wadding – 7” by 12”. Pellon Flex Foam Fusible would give a firm structure, but you could use quilt batting of mid or low loft if you want a softer look (or want to go easier on your sewing machine!)
• General sewing kit including fine hand sewing needles.

• One vintage pearlized button – ¾” diameter.
• Hi-tack fabric glue.
• 20 stick-on pearlized buttons – available from Amazon approx. 1/8” diameter.
• Thin pink ribbon – 20”.
• Lightweight stabiliser 6” square – Pellon Shape Flex would be a suitable cotton fusible interfacing.
• Matching sewing thread – e.g YLI invisible thread and bottom-line thread in light grey (colour code 630)
• Frixion marker pen or another form of marker.
• 505 temporary fabric adhesive spray.
• Walking foot.
