What you'll do

In this vibrant dance class led by Dance Artist Sophie Arstall, you will explore a variety of contemporary dance elements, techniques, improvisation, contact work, and choreography. Through imagery, anatomy, and musicality, you'll develop movement confidence, personal expression, and collaborative skills.

This workshop is a welcoming space for all aged 11-16 years, where you can embrace a playful and exploratory experience. You'll be guided through the class with patience and encouragement, perfect for beginners or those looking to expand their dancing abilities.

Throughout the session, you'll work with a range of materials, engage in movement exploration, and connect with others in a supportive environment. You might feel challenged, inspired, and empowered as you unlock your creative potential.

No previous dance experience is required, just a curiosity and openness to move and learn.

I am a Contemporary Dance Artist of 20+ years. As a teacher, performer and maker I love to facilitate dance experiences, bringing dance and creative movement to any age and ability. I run inclusive dance classes with a focus on dance and somatic techniques to support vitality in body and mind, and develop movement possibility. I also work with improvisation and compositional approaches to further personal and collaborative expression.
