5/5 from Gwen Mitchell, attended Mar 2026: The afternoon went by so quickly. The class was the right level of learning something new and relaxing. The teacher was very friendly and supportive. It does require a level of manual dexterity (winding thread, cutting card etc). I went away with the kit to continue it at home.
5/5 from Leonie Brebner, attended Feb 2026: I really enjoyed the Chanhua workshop with Zoey yesterday. In two hours we were able to learn the basics and make something to take back with us. We came away having learnt a new skill and were enthusiastic enough to buy a kit to do more at home. The atmosphere in the studio was very friendly and relaxed which helped make the experience enjoyable.

5/5 from Carys Evans, attended Mar 2025: We loved this class! Can’t believe we made such a beautiful flower in this short time, plus the team were so welcoming and gave us as much time and support as we needed :) A really inspiring space too - we want to come back and do more workshops!
5/5 from Truly Johnston, attended Jan 2025: I bought my mum this class as a bithday present and it was a really lovely way for us to spend two hours together. We learned about the craft, got support with the tricky bits and came away with two beautiful brooches. It was great to be in zoey's studio and see all her beautiful work. There was an enamelling class going on at the same time and it felt like there was a nice creative buzz in the room. Thank you!
5/5 from Lin Chen, attended Jan 2025: I enjoyed the chanhua workshop. Zoey showed us how to start the chanhua and other teachers checked up on us periodically. Zoey did finish up the final tying of the piece for me and my sister didn’t finish hers, but they sent her with a little kit to finish at home. They served us tea and snacks. I was very satisfied with the hair piece in the end and left feeling confident I can continue this craft at home. Their studio showcased their filagree, enamel, and chanhua work. It’s all beautiful and I wish we had more time on our trip to take other classes.
Zoey and I are inspired by traditional Chinese jewelry techniques, reinterpreting the concept of inheritance and apprenticeship to bring authenticity and delicacy to the process of making with creativity. We cherish these vanishing art forms and strive to pass them on more effectively. We develop various workshops to spread these specialised skills to the local community and narrow the distance between Chinese craftsmanship culture and contemporary jewellery practice.
