Ceramic Decoration and Object Painting
Led by Nikoleta Rugina
Step into a relaxing, inspiring studio atmosphere and transform everyday, functional objects into personalised works of art. Whether you want to create a bespoke piece for your own home or craft a deeply meaningful, hand-painted gift for someone special, this two-hour workshop is the perfect creative escape. We will ditch the canvas and explore three-dimensional form, using a wide variety of ceramic objects as our playground. You will have a beautiful selection of pieces to choose from—including elegant jugs, organic plant pots, structural bowls, and cosy mugs—ready to be brought to life with your unique style.
What You Will Do:
  • Select Your Object: Browse our curation of blank ceramic objects to find the form that speaks to you.
  • Design & Pattern Play: Explore colour palettes, fine brushwork, abstract shapes, or intricate decorative patterns.
  • Express Your Style: Whether your aesthetic is minimalist and modern, boldly colourful, or delicately detailed, you will learn how to map your ideas beautifully onto curved surfaces.
What’s Provided:
  • A premium selection of ceramic objects (jugs, plant pots, bowls, mugs).
  • All professional painting materials, palettes, and specialised brushes.
  • Guidance, design inspiration, and creative tips throughout the session.
You’ll leave the session with a beautiful, custom-decorated object, ready to bring an artistic, hand-crafted touch to your daily routine.

Southlands Arts Centre is a wonderful Queen Anne Grade 2 listed building with extensive, beautiful grounds. It is the perfect backdrop for all creative people. The Centre is used by people and groups who engage in cultural activities across the fine arts, music, photography, film, and craft design.
We are well known for our exhibitions held throughout the year and attract some amazing artists (many local) who regularly exhibit their work at the Centre. We are also the home for The West London Photo Exhibition and SouthlandsLIVE.
