Working on smooth plates, you’ll explore drawing, painting and mark-making to create unique, one-off prints.Collagraph introduces both relief and intaglio approaches, allowing you to experiment with textured surfaces, varied marks and different ways of transferring an image through print.Drypoint involves drawing directly into a plate, creating expressive marks and characteristic rich, velvety lines when the plate is inked and printed.As the course develops, you’ll also explore how different printmaking processes can be combined and overlaid, opening up further possibilities for developing images and experimenting with your own visual ideas.The course is suitable for complete beginners and those with previous art or printmaking experience.
