Parent and Child Paper Lampshade Making Workshop

Join this parent and child lampshade-making workshop at Pattern & Print Club in Grove Park, Lewisham, where you and a young one aged 5 to 14 will each decorate your very own paper lampshade side by side. You make yours, they make theirs – it's a joyful Saturday session full of creative freedom, with plenty of room to experiment and no "right" way to do it.Over 90 minutes, your friendly teacher will introduce the technique before you both get stuck into cutting and sticking tissue paper and printed tissue paper onto your lampshades, playing with the colours, shapes and patterns you love most. Fancy doing things a little differently with the materials provided? That's more than welcome too – kids will love having the freedom to follow their own ideas.Pattern & Print Club grew from real parent-and-child experience – that wonderfully chaotic moment when you want to "help" with your child's creation and they want to "help" with yours. Making together is at the heart of every session, and it's become a warm local gem for creativity, connection and community.You'll each head home with a one-of-a-kind lampshade to brighten up a bedroom or give as a thoughtful handmade gift – plus a feel-good memory of an afternoon spent creating together.Please note: everyone attending needs their own ticket, as everyone will be making. Children must be accompanied by an adult, and adults must be accompanied by a child. Each session offers quality time for you and your child to enjoy making things, meet others, and create your own creations to take home.
