Give fabric a second life using colour made by nature...
Discover the surprisingly colourful world of natural dyeing and learn how plants, food waste and everyday natural materials can transform fabric.
At Correll Club, we're interested in making things useful, beautiful and a little more sustainable. Natural dyeing fits rather perfectly: it can breathe new life into something you already own, transform forgotten fabric or simply give you an excuse to experiment with colour.
You'll explore how natural dyes work, prepare your fabric and experiment with different techniques to create your own naturally dyed piece to take home.
No experience needed. Perfection definitely not required.
What we'll explore
Depending on the season and what we're working with, we'll look at different natural sources of colour and some of the techniques used to alter, layer and pattern them.
You'll learn about preparing fabric for dyeing, extracting and using natural colour, creating different effects and caring for your finished piece.
There'll be plenty of room to experiment rather than everyone being expected to produce exactly the same thing.
Because nature doesn't really do identical, neither do we.
Public workshops at Correll Club
Our public workshops tend to be a little more relaxed than the traditional “everyone sit down and copy what I'm doing” format.
We like making, but we also like what happens around the making: conversations with people you didn't arrive with, swapping ideas, trying something unexpected and having enough time to enjoy yourself.
Natural Dyeing appears periodically in our public programme, but if there isn't currently a date that works for you, there are some other workshops where this activity can be incorporated.

Want to bring your own group?
Natural dyeing also works brilliantly as a private creative experience.
We can adapt the format for birthdays, hen celebrations, family gatherings and other occasions where you'd rather spend time doing something together than simply booking another table somewhere.
We can come to you, work with an appropriate partner venue, or help you find a setting that suits your group. Send an enquiry through ClassBento for a private booking.
Planning something for work?
Correll Club creates hands-on experiences for teams, away days, office programmes and corporate events.
Natural dyeing can run as a facilitated group workshop or be adapted into a more flexible creative format for larger groups, depending on the space, timings and purpose of your event.
We can work at your office, alongside your chosen venue or as part of a wider away-day programme.
Looking for a brand activation?
This is where the same activity can become something quite different.
Natural dyeing can be developed into a participatory brand experience, shaped around a product, campaign, material, colour story or sustainability message.
For launches, PR events, exhibitions and larger events, Correll Club develops creative activations designed to give guests something to do, talk about and remember rather than simply another thing to look at.
The format can range from a facilitated experience to a drop-in Creation Station designed for higher footfall.
Tell us about your event and we'll explore what the experience could become.

At Correll Club, we create relaxed, welcoming spaces where you can make things with your hands, try something new, and spend time around others doing the same.
Our workshops are designed to feel calm, accessible and genuinely enjoyable — whether you’re crafting natural body care, learning simple repair skills, experimenting with seasonal materials or just taking a bit of time out to create something for yourself.
You don’t need experience, and you don’t need to be “creative”. We’ll guide you through everything, using thoughtfully chosen materials and simple techniques that you can take away and use again at home.
At the heart of it, Correll Club is about more than the thing you make. It’s about slowing down, learning practical skills, and sharing space with people in a way that feels natural and easy.
Come along, try something different, and leave with something you’ve made — and a little more than you expected.
