The session struck a great balance between theory and hands-on practice — we started with a solid grounding in how home heating systems work (combi boilers, Y-Plan/S-Plan setups, cylinders, safety components) before moving into practical exercises like soldering copper pipe, fitting valves, and diagnosing common issues. Annie explained things clearly and made sure the theory actually connected to real, practical skills. Would recommend to anyone wanting a proper grasp of home plumbing basics

Now I can understand how to work out what has gone wrong and fixing a lot of plumbing issues around the house. I feel so much more confident about knowing when to do things myself vs calling out a professional and being able to understand how a professional has fixed things too and asking the right questions without it all completely going over my head. Lovely environment, completely relaxed and loads covered in just one day. Strong recommend!

Annie was super informative (and very patient as we all asked a million very specific questions), and there was a nice balance between theory and hands-on practice. Would absolutely recommend for anyone who wants a bit more confidence around the house!

It was a combo of wanting to learn something useful and also something fun/different to do on a Sunday/ - I learned some practical stuff. I'd be more confident now doing things like changing a tap. - The teacher was great. Very knowledgeable, friendly and personable. - The venue was good. A bit cold though! - I'd also add that I love the overall concept that you have at Pow.

I feel a lot more knowledgeable and brave enough to know how to tackle jobs at home and know when a professional plummer is needed.

I feel much more able to deal with plumbing issues - I believe that I’m way less likely to ever need an emergency plumber now. Will definitely recommend to others.
