After some intros, you'll receive demos on how to use the gelli prints. We'll be using acrylic paint and fresh flowers to create quick-drying prints.

Your Turn to Print

Your Turn to Print

You'll be invited to start printing, with continued support. Experiment as much as you wish! We have collage supplies and papers to explore colour combinations and different approaches.

Choose Your Cards

Choose Your Cards

If you'd like to mount your prints onto greeting cards, we'll have blanks available and the guillotine to chop prints down to size, so you can stick them on in the class and create finished cards!

Discover the joy of playful printmaking at our Gelli Printing Workshop, a relaxed creative session where you’ll experiment with colour, texture, and layered mark-making to create your own unique artworks.
We’ll explore a range of gelli printing techniques, including printing with natural textures, painting directly onto the plate, and building abstract geometric patterns. You’ll create a beautiful stack of experimental prints as you go and then choose how to finish your favourites.
You can turn your final pieces into a set of six greeting cards or bind a mini concertina to document your creative journey, a lovely keepsake of your time in the studio.
With a variety of papers and acrylic paints to explore, you’ll have plenty of time to play, test ideas, and surprise yourself along the way.
All materials, tea and coffee are included, just bring your curiosity and a love for handmade things.
Can’t make the listed time? We’re happy to help arrange an alternative slot, whether you’d like a private session or a new group workshop time for others to join too.

  • 5/5 from Helena Rowley, attended Aug 2026: The teacher was lovely and there was a nice relaxed atmosphere throughout the class. She showed us various techniques such as pressing into the ink with flowers, creating layers, carving onto the ink and painting directly onto the plate. The workshop itself is a really nice, light space and I would love to come back for another!
  • 5/5 from Deborah, attended Aug 2026: A excellent introduction to gel plate printing. Like many people I had the gelli plate and was finding instagram to be a very poor guide to how to use it. This has made all the difference - came away with loads of examples and loads ideas. Thoroughly recommended.

  • 5/5 from Georgia Leggott, attended Dec 2025: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The gelli print class was absolutely amazing! ✨ The team at Something Good Workshops are just the loveliest people, so welcoming, supportive, and fun to learn from We came away feeling super confident to do geli printing at home, which is the best feeling Would 100% recommend checking out their other workshops too, we can’t wait to come back and try more! A big bonus is these workshops are suitable for solo visits, couples or friends, it felt like such an inclusive space. And Swifties… support a fellow Swiftie!
  • 5/5 from Poonam Dhuffer, attended Dec 2025: A warm, playful and welcoming atmosphere! I loved the intuitive and emergent process. Emily opened the workshop by explaining the materials and process, she gave us a demo of several printing processes that were mesmerising to witness. Then we explored and flowed with printing with flowers and leaves, drawing into the Gelli plate, and playful with different quality of papers and colours. I really appreciated the spaciousness of time, exploration and reflections. I also loved that Emily didn't rush us to "finish", it was more a gentle closing and goodbye. The music and warm drinks also made the ambience feel warm and inviting. I highly recommend this workshop, especially for people who overthink, strive for perfectionism or are always trying to be "productive". I left with my heart and soulful! inviting. I can't wait to come back again and play more!

Hi, we’re Emily and Jess, the creative minds behind Something Good Workshops!
Our journey began in 2019 when Emily launched Something Good Workshops (originally known as MADEptford) as a way to spread crafty joy and raise funds for running the London Marathon. What started as a one-time idea quickly grew into a passion for bringing people together through creativity. Since then, we’ve hosted a wide variety of workshops, from arm knitting to body casting, in all kinds of spaces - corporate offices, cosy pubs, pop-up shops, and even people’s homes.
After taking a short break, we’re back with fresh energy and an exciting new partnership. Jess has joined the team, and together, we’re on a mission to spark joy and empower people to explore their creativity in relaxing, welcoming spaces. We believe there’s something magical about slowing down, working with your hands, and leaving with something you’ve made yourself - whether it’s a chunky knit blanket, a personal shrine, or a collage bursting with personality.
What makes us unique? We’re all about creating an environment where people feel at ease, whether they’re a total beginner or a seasoned maker. Over the years, we’ve held workshops in so many different settings, and one thing always stands out: the joy people feel when they realize just how creative they can be.
We’re not just here to teach a craft - we’re here to help you unwind, have fun, and leave with a tangible reminder that you’re capable of making something good.
We can’t wait to meet you at a workshop soon!
