Art has always been a part of my life, whether I was a student at school or a program director in the corporate world. It was my reset, my relaxation, and my joy. Needlework, drawing and painting, a bit of knitting, a lot of crochet, papercrafts, jewelry making, and more. Then life as I knew it changed, as it does, and I started my journey towards becoming a professional artist/craftsperson as a metal clay instructor. I loved metal clay from the moment I discovered it. In 2011/2012, I was qualified with two sets of diplomas, built my first studio, and was teaching classes, courses, and workshops of 1 to 30.
Since then, I have had many jewelry projects published, given talks and demonstrations at clubs, shows, and conventions. I am an instructor member of AMCAW, an international group of metal clay artists.
Post-Covid, I developed many of my other disciplines, at a time when my hands had lost their strength and couldn't hold jewelry tools anymore (or even a saucepan, but that's another story). Now, after spinal surgery in early 2023, I am back and feeling better than ever with new skills, a bigger, better, gorgeous studio where I can continue to share the joy of making beautiful things.
