Join us at our Balham studio for a relaxed and hands-on pottery wheel throwing workshop in London, where you’ll explore the basics of throwing and create your own clay pieces from scratch. This is a fun, beginner-friendly session designed to help you enjoy the process of working with clay.
No experience is needed to get stuck in and enjoy. You’ll be guided step by step by a friendly and experienced tutor, making it easy to get started and have fun at the wheel.
What to expect:
  • Spend 2 hours at the potter’s wheel learning the basics of throwing bowls and cylinders.
  • Create approximately 2–4 clay pieces during the session.
  • Receive hands-on guidance from a professional pottery tutor.
  • Work in a small group (maximum of 8 people) for personal support.
  • Enjoy a relaxed, social atmosphere -- come solo or with friends!
  • Option to book a follow-up session to paint and glaze your pieces.
  • Collect your finished pieces after firing (within 21 days).
By the end of the workshop, you’ll leave with a handful of handmade clay pieces and a great introduction to wheel throwing, along with the enjoyment of having tried something creative and hands-on.
