One to One Botanical Dyeing Class

Learn and improve your botanical dyeing skills at your own pace, ask all questions, work on your project

3 hours Class size 1 on 1       £225 (PayPal Pay in 3 available)

This is a tailored one-to-one botanical dyeing class where you will improve your skills as an intermediate student, do consultancy for a particular project or start from scratch as a beginner. Learn the art of creating beautiful, vibrant natural dyes while working on your own projects or samples. Using carefully selected plants, seeds, roots, bark and flowers, you will discover how to extract vibrant colours and fix them onto natural fabric.
Don't worry if you're new to the art of dyeing! I will guide you through the process in a relaxed and supportive environment, making sure you feel confident every step of the way, and answering as many questions as I can.
During the session, you'll get hands-on experience working with a variety of materials and learn about the fascinating process of botanical dyeing. You may even find the experience meditative and therapeutic as you immerse yourself in the beauty of nature's hues, synching with the rhythms of nature. If you have a particular project you would like to work with, or a technique you would like to explore further, I will also be happy to plan and prepare a special class for you.
Unwind and tap into your creative side with this transformative activity, and leave with a bespoke piece that reflects your personal flair.
If the idea of natural dyeing seems daunting, fear not! My warm and welcoming environment is perfect for beginners, as well as for intermediate students or those who'd like to push their skills further. I am an experienced artist and tutor and will happily guide you through each step of the process with patience and encouragement.

I am a visual artist and arts educator working with colour, textiles, minerals, clay, seeds, flowers and pigments that I carefully gather from plants around me and nearby.
I specialise in sustainable wellbeing workshops and creative mindful sessions for community groups, CPD and staff training for small companies and institutions.
I have been working with natural dyes since 2019 and have an extensive experience planning and delivering creative and engaging sustainable workshops for people of all ages and many backgrounds.
I see these experiences as tools for learning but also for grounding and reflection that aim to connect with ourselves and with others in a supportive, non judgemental safe space. Interested in mental health and wellbeing, I nurture environments where people can reach a deeper level of understanding of their feelings and emotions, allowing time for play and exploration with a focus on the process of making and collective learning.
