First time on a floor loom, all the rainbow colours to choose from and interesting to see the various effects of different types of yarn. Her yarn library is extensive and full of incredible colours, textures and shades which you can take your pick from. You leave the class with a beautiful piece of work which can measure as long as you wish it to as it all depends how much you get done within the time frame. Some people make a woven piece of around 80 cms - I managed to make a piece of around 2 metres in length! A really enjoyable experience.

Janine and Steve are highly engaging, creative people, both with a gift for teaching, and a passion for sharing their wisdom. There is an extensive collection of very high quality materials to choose from and the whole process is made accessible for anyone to enjoy, regardless of prior experience. I can't recommend it enough and will be returning soon. This was gifted to me by some generous friends, and I would say its the most incredible gift you could give yourself or someone you love.

The session gave me a good insight into the potential of this sort of loom. The instruction and support was pitched just right and I loved the choice of yarn available to experiment with. Janine and her colleagues were on hand with encouraging, knowledgeable and helpful advice when wanted. The studio is very well equipped with anything you might want for your weaving. I made a beautiful scarf and have already received many compliemnts and requests from friends to make them one too! Janine is a very knowlegeable and patient teacher an the studio is a wonderfully calm space to work in. I love handmae textiles, so it was a natural progression for me to go from knitting & crochet to weaving. It was the best way for me to access my latent creativity which has been dormant for too long, and I will revisit Janine and her team to learn more and to do some of my own experimentation. Highly recommended and very accesible to all ages.

Got to choose my own yarn colours and experiment with patterns and textiles. Janine has in depth knowledge of her practise and was very interesting to converse with. I recommend this for anyone who wants to get their hands on a loom but don’t know where to start and also for textile artists and student who want to experiment and understand the way of the loom! It is definitely worth the time and money.
