arrow_right_alt arrow_downwardLearn to paint the figure both nude and clothed in acrylics and water-based oil paint in our dedicated art studio in Central London, under the guidance of professional art practitioners.
During our Painting the Figure courses, you will learn to work with new materials, master paint handling, and 'alla prima' techniques, learn about tonal values, colour, and how to represent textures of skin and fabrics. There will also be discussion on relevant artists such as Freud, Degas, and Schiele.
Having mastered a foundation of techniques, you will work on a longer pose over the last two sessions of the art lesson under the guidance of professional art tutors. You will be encouraged to find an emotive aspect to your work and develop your approach and response to painting the figure.
