This stained glass workshop in London offers a captivating fusion of colour, light, and craftsmanship. This is the perfect activity to learn the timeless art of assembling vibrant glass pieces into stunning designs, guided by expert instructors.
In this hands-on workshop, you will learn all the essential techniques, including how to cut, smooth, and solder glass. Whether you’re a beginner or an enthusiast, you’ll receive personalised support to confidently create your own beautiful ornaments or mini panels.
You may choose from:
* A 2.5-hour class to create one piece up to 10cm x 10cm, using up to 10 glass pieces.
* A 5-hour class to create one piece up to 20cm x 20cm, using up to 20 glass pieces.
Your workshop experience includes:
* Guided instruction – Our instructors will guide you through every step of the stained glass making process.
* Materials – We provide premium art glass, known for its rich colours and smooth texture, along with lead-free solder for safe indoor display.
* Equipment and tools – Our studio is fully equipped with professional glass cutters, grinders, soldering irons, and protective gear.
* Finishing touches – Once your piece is complete, we’ll assist you with polishing, framing, or adding hanging details to ensure your work is ready to shine.
You will leave with a radiant piece of art that you have made yourself, along with a wonderful new skill set in a classic craft.

Perfect for beginners — no experience needed, and you'll get personalised support throughout.
This workshop involves glass cutting, grinding and soldering. For safety reasons we don't recommend it for pregnant or nursing guests.
What to bring
  • A simple design idea to work from, if you have one in mind
  • Closed-toe shoes and clothing that covers your arms and legs
  • Long hair tied back, and no loose sleeves or dangling jewellery
  • All glass, tools and protective gear are provided
Choosing a design: for a 2.5-hour session we recommend fewer than 10 glass pieces; for the 5-hour session, fewer than 20. If it's your first time, straight-line designs are far easier to cut and assemble than intricate curves — you'll master the basics and still get a stunning result.

It gave us the time needed to design and create something beautiful without being time pressured - there are a lot of steps to stained glass making which do take time. The teacher Jin Jin was absolutely amazing and guided us through everything, making it really fun and very well taught. It was clear her priority was helping us make a piece we would like and be proud of, which made the class more of a craft workshop, which was amazing. My friend and I were the only ones there so she was very attentive to our projects.

Hi, I’m Binghui Song — a London-based artist working with glass, metal and ceramics. I studied at the Royal College of Art and trained in goldsmithing in Tokyo.
I founded SONG Art & Craft, a hands-on studio where anyone can explore materials through making. I believe creativity belongs to everyone — no experience needed.
Teaching brings me joy because I love seeing people surprised by what their hands can do. After years of practice, awards, and features, I’m still most excited by that first spark of curiosity when someone picks up a tool. That moment of joy is what our studio is all about.
