Beginners Knitting and Guided Free Flow Poetry Workshop

Join us for a grounding session of writing and knitting in London.

2 hours Class size 1 to 30 guests       £15

Join Viola Vessels for a mindful session of writing and knitting in London. We’ll begin with guided free-flow writing to help you settle into the space, tune into your intentions, and gently connect with others.
You’ll learn beginner-friendly knitting techniques to create your own skinny scarf. We’ll use simple stitches to build texture and pattern, and add charms to bring meaning and a little quirk. Each scarf will be symbolic, personal, and yours to finish at home. Feel free to bring your own charms if you’d like to include something special!
What to expect:
  • A mindful guided free-flow writing exercise, followed by a guided knitting session.
  • Assorted yarn, charms, and a pair of knitting needles (yours to keep) to work on your craft.
  • One barista-made drink per person!
  • A relaxed, welcoming atmosphere -- no experience needed.
This session is a gentle invitation to make something meaningful, with space to reflect and connect. Come as you are.

Hi, I'm Nancy, the artist behind Viola Vessels. I'm a practicing artist and facilitator, mainly working in ceramics and textiles. I balance my passion for making with my love for connecting people with each other and their own innate creativity.
After completing my Fine Art degree, I went on to learn ceramics, which I first learned in South Korea on my study exchange at university. All my work is informed by a desire to reconnect with nature and magic, and I love how ceramics creates that close connection between hands and earth, encouraging us to slow down, be present, and work mindfully with the clay.
I have years of experience teaching art in and outside of formal education settings, and hours of intention and care go into every one of my workshops. I love creating meaningful, safe and accessible spaces for people to connect with each other, the earth and themselves, through spiritual grounding exercises and mindful, intentional making.
Whether you join me for a ceramics session or a ritual-inspired textile workshop, you’ll leave not just with something beautiful you’ve made, but with a deeper connection to yourself, your surroundings, and the creative process.
