I am an active artist and printmaker exhibiting in London and the UK.
I am also a hugely experienced qualified art teacher and educator having worked in Art Schools at Higher Education, Further Education and currently in the Life Long Learning sector running my own art classes.
I’ve had a great and varied life so far working in some of the Cultural Industries: I’ve been a scenic painter in Theatre and Opera and an Art director in Film, an Arts project manager in Regeneration arts, Team building in Industry and Exhibitions. So I bring a huge experience of varied skills to my ability to teach art and to my students.
I also run my own art retreats each year in France and Italy giving students longer span of time to make art time, to try out new techniques and make new friends whilst enjoying the cultural fabric of these countries.
I’m loving this phase of my life too, currently teaching drawing, painting, both acrylic and watercolours, pastels both oil and chalk, abstracts, mixed media, collage and printmaking, so bring a good level of expertise and knowledge to the students.
My teaching style is to really support people in getting something out of the classes, whether it be joy in making art or skill in improving their observations and renderings, exploring techniques and mediums or connectedness with others. We all respond to positive feedback!
