Q: Do I need to have experience in art to take this workshop?
Not at all! Kathy can guide you through the process and even draw the designs for you so that all you need to do is to paint the cards. Or you can give them as a gift, ready for painting.
Q: Where is the nearest Underground station to Handmade Stories?
We are being hosted by Handmade Stories at Borough Yard: 3 Stonecutters Lane, London, SE1 9RZ The closest rail and tube station is London Bridge using the Borough Market exit (2-minute walk). Borough and Southwark station are both a 7-minute walk.
Q: What time should I arrive for my workshop?
We are offering workshops on both Saturday and Sunday, 6-7 December. They will begin promptly at 1pm so please arrive at 12:50 so we can get you settled with your drinks and snacks - and get creating!
Q: I want to learn and create more! How do I do this?
Join our newsletter to stay up to date on our news and upcoming events. We are starting an Art Club where we will be meeting online and in person to keep up our skills and create beautiful pieces of art.
Q: What if I want to do more ethical, sustainable Christmas shopping on the day?
We will bring a few samples of our beautiful scarves and other accessories with us on the day, but remember our host, Handmade Stories, is a superb independent whose designs are not only beautiful but fashion with an ethical heart. Be sure to learn more and visit on the day. x

Discover how Kathy creates sustainable, carbon neutral Christmas cards using line drawings and watercolour.
Select Your Designs
Choose five designs from Kathy's catalogue of cards or draw your own. Get inspired by Kathy's cute Christmas mice or create your own pieces of art!

We provide all the materials you'll need to create your cards:
5 CM Fabriano cards and envelopes that are heavyweight, mould-made, cold-pressed paper is off-white in colour and measures 17cm x 11.5cm (A7, or approximately 6×4 inches)
Caran d'ache gouache paint that can be used as watercolour
Micron pens, pencils, erasers
Non-plastic, compostable sleeves
