Spring Screen Printing Course

Join this four-week screen printing course and discover a hands-on way to bring your designs to life. Whether you’re a complete beginner or just curious about the craft, you’ll be guided through the entire process by Isadora Marriott, an expert print artist and RCA graduate. You’ll learn how to create unique designs using hand-cut stencils and mark-making, before moving on to preparing screens and printing with vibrant, water-based inks. It’s a wonderful opportunity to switch off and get creative, and you’re even welcome to bring a child aged 12 or above to share the experience and create alongside you.

• Week 1: introduction, stencil creation, coating screens and mixing inks – Get to know the tools of the trade and start prepping your first designs.
• Week 2: exposing A3 size artwork and printing – See your work come to life as you transfer your art onto the screen and begin the printing process.
• Week 3: completing your multi-colour print edition – Layer up your designs and master the technique of printing with multiple shades.
• Week 4: printing a new design onto a tote bag or bringing your t-shirt – Put your new skills into practice by creating a custom piece of wearable art to take home.

Throughout the sessions, you'll find a low-pressure and supportive environment where you can experiment with different techniques and textures. Isadora’s wealth of experience as a technician and facilitator ensures you'll have expert guidance every step of the way, helping you feel confident as you navigate the equipment and inks. By the final week, you will have moved from first-timer to a savvy printer, leaving with a collection of one-of-a-kind prints and a custom tote bag.
