The perfect class to take once you have completed the beginner's silk painting class. This is a 6-hour class split over 2 weeks to allow the gutta to dry or for the design you decide upon to dry between applications.
The silk scarf is 45x180 cm. It has a rolled hem and will be ready to wear once the paints have been heat-treated for colour fastness. Alternatively, you can always back and hang the scarf as a piece of your own personal artwork.
Tania will show you how to attach and prepare your silk on the frame and then design and mark out your images, using salt and other mediums to create texture and movement in your scarf.
You will be given the opportunity to try out the different techniques and paint colours on other pieces of silk so that you are sure of the design you wish to complete.
This is an absorbing and relaxing class. Should you wish to complete this within one day, you can, but there will be a lunch break to allow the work to dry between sessions.

I also run classes from my good friend's cafe, The Country Coffee Shop and Cafe, in Saddlesdane near Faversham. I am very happy to travel to other venues if required.
