In an intimate, peaceful setting, Ishbel has provided plentiful guide to each one of us throughout the 2 hours class. I have learnt some very useful skills and technique as a beginner in watercolour painting. With a beautiful art work to bring home with me for further improvement, I would definitely continue to explore and learn about using watercolour. Highly recommended to anyone who enjoyed art.

  • 5/5 from Maria Parratt, attended Mar 2025: I had the pleasure of attending a watercolor class with the incredibly talented Ishbel, and I can’t recommend it enough! From the moment the class began, Ishbel created such a warm and encouraging atmosphere that made everyone feel comfortable, regardless of their skill level. Her passion for watercolor painting is truly inspiring, and she has a gift for explaining techniques in a way that’s both easy to understand and fun to practice. Whether it was mastering delicate washes, exploring color blending, or adding those final details that bring a painting to life, Ishbel guided us with patience and enthusiasm. What I loved most was her ability to make the creative process feel so freeing. Instead of focusing on perfection, she encouraged us to enjoy the journey, experiment, and find our unique artistic voice. By the end of the class, I not only felt more confident with my brush but also left with a piece I was genuinely proud of! If you’re looking for a watercolor class that is both relaxing and enriching, Ishbel’s is an absolute must. Can’t wait to join another session soon!
  • 5/5 from Georgia Henshaw, attended Mar 2025: I thoroughly enjoyed my first Watercolour Art Class. As someone with no previous experience in art or watercolours, I found the class very accessible and easy to follow. I came away with significantly improved knowledge about watercolours and their techniques. Ichbel was an excellent teacher - engaging, kind, and informative. I would highly recommend this class to any beginners interested in exploring watercolour painting.
  • 5/5 from Deepti Chumber, attended Feb 2025: The class was a decent class, not many people so a lot of focus could be given to each of us. Teacher was super friendly, very passionate about her work and what she does which showed in how she taught the class. As it was an introductory class, the skills learnt fitted the purpose, learning 3 techniques. I would have like the class to be longer as I was really enjoying it, but I have learnt enough to start with at home.
  • 5/5 from Katie Driver, attended Feb 2025: Really fun class- have a lovely time with my dad, it really built up his confidence painting. Our teacher Ishbel was lovely and very talented!
  • 5/5 from Myles Wick, attended Feb 2025: A lovely time. Perfect for couples and friends. Ishbel was a great teacher and made us all feel welcomed and relaxed.
  • 5/5 from Millie Summers, attended Jan 2025: I really enjoyed my introduction to water colour painting with Louisa Tebbutt on Saturday. She was great (as well as an amazing artist, showed us her work/studio which is fascinating) - I hadn't picked up a paint brush since school days 40 years ago and was a bit apprehensive - but she was really fun, encouraging and positive the whole way throughout, and guiding us through some simple explanations before letting us loose on our own creations. It was all very inspiring and a lovely room/vibe at the Wimbledon Art Studios. I'm about to go to Kenya where I'm organising/hosting a painting safari with a wonderful water colour artist so it's given me the confidence to have stab it all myself in down time - it's the first time I'll have so long (7 nights) in one camp in stunning scenery so I'm excited to see if I can improve my skills now from the deck of my tent in Samburu! I think I'll be looking up more classes at Wimbledon Art Studios, and thanks to for ClassBento for making it so easy to find/book.

  • 4/5 from Anonymised ClassBento customer, attended Jan 2025: Great introductory class! I learnt a new skill and tried paint a beautiful flower. Unfortunately we didn’t have time to finish our paintings. Perhaps time could be saved by reducing time for intros at the start. Thank you, would do it again!
  • 5/5 from Eden Lavelle, attended Nov 2024: Louisa was so, so kind. I am amazed at the results she got out of us as beginners!
  • 5/5 from Anonymised ClassBento customer, attended Nov 2024: A lovely experience. I learnt a lot and it was really good fun. Excellent instructor.
  • 5/5 from Eve Bolland, attended Oct 2024: Really really lovely session. Our teacher was so kind and fun and taught us so many amazing techniques that have improved our watercolour game immensely! Thank you so much.
  • 5/5 from Julie Richards, attended Oct 2024: A gift for my birthday, Ishbel took us through the key basics in a straightforward way before letting us loose to colour a sketch she had drawn (there were three people in the class). Sketched used a limited, though varied, colour palette which was good for a class like this. Materials were fine and venue, ambience was good. Class was good value for money although ClassBento need to check details as the email I had said the class ran from 13.00 to 15.30 whereas in runs to 15.00. Would do it again, which I guess is the best recommendation.
  • 5/5 from Mary Fernando, attended Aug 2024: Excellent session. Was fun and was brilliant to learn basics. Was able to paint a beautiful picture for all the techniques. Thank you Excellent venue and teacher

We would definitely like to book again, highly recommended.

  • 5/5 from Ope Okupe, attended May 2024: Booked this for my wife and I, as part of our monthly activities and we were very pleased. The session was two and a half hours and felt like the time went too fast. The teacher was friendly, warm and encouraging.
  • 5/5 from Brenda Quick, attended May 2024: My water color painting class with Alma and Ronaldo was terrific. She sent clear instructions on reaching the studio and what we would be doing. My class size had seven of us total. The studio was inviting and comfortable. We were kindly offered refreshments before starting the lesson. Alma covered the fundamentals with patience and support. Learning how to load the brushes and practicing our strokes was helpful, with Alma encouraging us the entire time. When our masterpieces were completed, she dried them and had the bags for us to transport home. This was an enjoyable class that I think was good value for the money. Should I have the chance to do again, I would.
  • 5/5 from Lynn Mudditt, attended Apr 2024: Really enjoyed the class, time seems to disappear so quickly! Our teacher Ishbel was great, really good demonstration of techniques, and a chance to practice before we had to start our actual painting, which I really appreciated.
  • 4/5 from Amy Selig, attended Apr 2024: Really enjoyed the class, we did initial exercises at the start which was helpful for certain techniques - although I was a complete beginner and probably could have benefitted from even more tips and guidance at the start on brush strokes and what to watch out for. The teacher had prepared a sketch for us to work from which was very helpful. we painted birds of paradise and would have loved to have the real thing available to reference.
  • 5/5 from Ekaterina Tyurina, attended Mar 2024: The teacher Alma Tipon was very friendly and welcoming. They provided information on what paper, brushes and paints to buy if one wants to practice at home. I enjoyed the experience a lot and got a good knowledge to start practicing at home. It was nice that the number of people attending the class is no more than 6 people. Everyone gets enough time with the teacher. I am very happy with the knowledge and skills I learned at this class. And I am proud of my results
