PomoArtDoro - Art from Home Society

Making art together from home

1 hour Class size 1 on 1

£10 - £20 (£10 for Minimum Donation price; £20 for If you wish to support more for the Society)

1. Guided Session (Music-Led Relational Art Making): Participants will intentionally listen, draw, notice, and share from the present moment. Inspired by Indonesian dance soundscapes, conscious movement, and therapeutic creative practices. This may feel familiar to people who enjoy flow-based movement, circling, authentic relating, or ecstatic dance (or 5 Rhythms) — but instead of moving through the whole body, we move through marks, drawing or brush strokes, music, and non-judgmental shared reflection. No art or music experience needed.
2. PomoARTdoro (Creative Body Double Club): Basically a simple pomodoro + body doubling but doing art. As an ADHD-er, it is very helpful for me to have an allocated time to do something to get the momentum of starting something (or continuing your abandoned art project). It can be anything from painting, knitting, or just some doodling on paper, etc.
Number, duration and description of activities:
Full Schedule, via Zoom, 1 hour each:
6th of June: The Creative Body Double Club PART 1 — I will give an introduction for the 4 sessions, sharing the housekeeping rules. We then take turns to say what we intend to do for the day, proceed to do our own artsy thingy for an hour with small breaks in between (just like the pomodoro technique), and end the session with a bit of optional show and tell.
13th of June: Guided Session, Music-Led Relational Art Making (Introduction, black and white). A guided session with my arranged music based on Indonesian dances and meditative repetitive loops. Expressive Drawing + relational conversation prompt for 1:1 breakout session.
20th of June: Guided Session, Music-Led Relational Art Making (FINAL, using colour). Similar to before, but with one added layer: colour! Can be coloured marker + paper, even paint on canvas. Your choice according to what’s available at home.
27th of June: The Creative Body Double Club PART 2 — with Farewell (optional show and tell for the whole art results from the previous sessions).
NOTE: Sessions will be delivered in English, but in breakout sessions (participants pairing) I would see if I can pair people with similar first languages to make things easier and more inclusive.
Dates and times:
Every Saturday, 11am–12pm UK time, June 6th, 13th, 20th, & 27th.
REGISTRATION DEADLINE: Extended to 3rd of June 2026!
Location: Online (Zoom).
Expectations of participants:
Doesn't have to join all sessions, but repeat students are still highly encouraged.
To come on time with curiosity, kindness (towards oneself and others), and willingness to try new things.
Knowledge required
Beginner-friendly.

female Women-owned

I am Gabriela “Ina Leah” Fernandez, a transdisciplinary Indonesian artist, as well as an advocate for autism & ADHD awareness. With 11 years of experience, I recently graduated from the Royal College of Art (MFA Arts and Humanities), where I explored the intersection of art and wellbeing after getting a BA in Psychology. I founded Akarupa, an art-for-wellbeing platform promoting self-expression, community building, and intergenerational collaboration.
Since 2013, I’ve performed across 8 cities in Indonesia at events like Ngayogjazz Festival, Prambanan Jazz Festival, and the Ubud Writers and Readers Festival. I performed for Bakti Budaya Djarum Foundation, which led to a collaboration with film director Garin Nugroho. In the UK, I’ve participated in events like St. George’s Art Festival, Wandsworth Art Fringe, and Colchester’s Festival of Rice & Spice.
My accolades include winning the GoAhead Challenge (2018), National Nomination for Young Female Singer (2021), and an AMI Awards nomination for Best Music Production (2022). In 2024, I was shortlisted for the New Blood Art Emerging Artist Award Prize.
From 2019 to 2023, I researched my Lamaholot Tribe’s heritage in East Nusa Tenggara, exploring how indigenous participatory dances and songs promote wellbeing. This inspired Sounds From Lamaholot, a therapeutic art method showcased at Biennale Yogyakarta 2022.
As a neurodivergent artist, I advocate for autism and ADHD awareness through social media, podcasts, and speaking engagements at institutions like the University of Bath and Ohio University. My visual art focuses on raising awareness about autistic experiences and promoting healing. A recipient of a fully funded scholarship from the Indonesia Endowment Fund for Education, I am now based in London, committed to creating art that fosters wellbeing and social impact. This includes being Music Leader Cohort at Wigmore Hall and workshop leader at “From Stimming to Dance” for autistic children.
