We'll learn about tea production and you'll experience the shape, texture and aroma of different dry tea leaves, before they're brewed.

We'll spend the majority of the course here, brewing and tasting 4 types of tea. From observing the aroma of the wet leaf and tea liquor to tasting the tea and noting the flavour profile, you'll learn the unique differences between each tea type. We'll also pair the teas with light bites to further amplify the tasting experience


Step into the rich, multicultural world of tea in this immersive tasting experience in London from Anaré - where tea, culture, and connection come together.
Hosted by a certified Tea Sommelier, in this welcoming class you’ll discover the essentials of tea: where it comes from, how it’s grown and produced, what shapes its flavour, and why the “perfect cup” depends on the tea you’re brewing.
Together, we’ll taste four distinctive teas from some of the world’s great tea cultures, including India, China, Taiwan, and Japan. You’ll explore black, green, white, and oolong teas through a full sensory experience — observing the dry leaf, noticing the aroma, tasting the infusion, and learning how each tea expresses its own character, craft, and story. We'll also sample a few bites that pair well with the teas and further amplify the flavours.
Along the way, you’ll gain practical brewing tips, cultural insights, and a deeper appreciation for the incredible variety within the world of tea. Whether you’re a curious beginner, a devoted tea drinker, or simply looking for a calming and memorable experience, this class is designed to be relaxed, engaging, and deliciously eye-opening.
You’ll leave with a new appreciation for tea, simple brewing guidance to use at home, and a selection of tea samples so you can continue your tasting journey after the class.

My Caribbean grandparents arrived in the UK during the Windrush Era, bringing with them island tea traditions rooted in Indigenous teachings - infusions passed down through generations. In Britain, these met the everyday ritual of black tea. Across the Caribbean and the UK, tea culture has been shaped by African, Indian, Chinese influences and more - a convergence that formed the rich layered world of tea I was raised within. This is the inspiraton behind Anaré.
