Join us for a unique collaboration celebrating two beautiful Japanese traditions. Led by Sally, an award-winning florist and Chelsea in Bloom winner, and Mariko, a certified Japanese tea ceremony master, this special workshop returns following the success of past event.
Experience the harmony of matcha and Ikebana in a relaxed, creative setting. Perfect for tea lovers, curious beginners, and anyone looking to slow down and enjoy a mindful experience, no previous experience is needed.
What you'll do
  • Taste a curated selection of premium Japanese matcha while learning how it is grown, stone-ground, and traditionally prepared.
  • Compare different matcha grades, origins, and flavour profiles through a guided tasting.
  • Learn to whisk matcha using traditional tools and techniques under Mariko's expert guidance.
  • Discover the timeless art of Ikebana, the Japanese practice of flower arranging that celebrates harmony, seasonality, and simplicity.
  • Create your own elegant Ikebana arrangement using a traditional kenzan (pin frog), guided by Sally.
All flowers, tools, and materials are provided, and you'll take home your seasonal flowers.
By the end of the workshop, you'll have a deeper appreciation of Japanese tea culture and floral artistry, along with the confidence to prepare matcha at home and continue exploring Ikebana.
Ideal for individuals, couples, friends, corporate team-building events, celebrations, and private group bookings. If your preferred date isn't listed, please get in touch—we'll do our best to arrange a private session.
