Join this Chinese ink painting workshop in London at Chá-Fé and discover a feel-good way to switch off and connect with a beautiful tradition. It's a wonderful, low-pressure experience that's perfect for first-timers who want to learn the art of using ink and water to create calm, serene imagery. You'll be guided by Ling, an exceptional international artist with over a decade of experience collaborating with prestigious institutions like the British Museum and the Museum of London. In this seasonal session, you'll focus on the gorgeous pomegranate flower to celebrate the essence of summer.
Ling's warm, supportive teaching style completely eliminates any creative anxiety, making everyone feel instantly welcome and at ease. She'll take you step by step through classic brushwork techniques, shading styles, and the rich history behind the art form. Everything is set up for you in a relaxing atmosphere, so you can simply show up, clear your mind, and enjoy the joyful process of active creation.
During the workshop, you will:

From watercolour painting, ink painting to Chinese calligraphy, South African coffee-themed gouache painting, and even artisanal cake decorating, our events are as diverse and flavourful as our neighbourhood. Every class is designed to make art more approachable and joyful, no matter your skill level.
