Come and get creative at our hand-building ceramic class in London, held inside a charming artist studio in the heart of Chelsea. This is a relaxed, playful session where you’ll shape, mould, and sculpt clay into your own unique pieces -- perfect for unwinding, trying something new, or sharing a fun experience with friends, colleagues, or a date.
This class is beginner-friendly and open to all skill levels. If you’re new to ceramics, you’ll learn the fundamentals step by step, while those with experience are welcome to develop their ideas and techniques further.
What to expect:
  • Learn hand-building techniques such as pinching, coiling, and slab building.
  • Create your own ceramic pieces -- think bowls, vases, mugs, ashtrays, sculptures and more.
  • Explore shape, texture, and form with guidance in a friendly studio environment.
  • Get hands-on, play with clay, and enjoy a mindful creative escape.
You’ll leave with something handmade and truly personal -- a piece that’s shaped by you and full of character. A wonderful way to spend time, tap into your creativity, and take home a little bit of clay magic.

Emilie is a sculptor who grew up in London. She loves ceramics so much she went to study it at Central Saint Martins. She specialises in sculptural furniture. Emilie opened this little ceramic studio tucked away in Chelsea. There she makes her own work and is a full time artist but she also really enjoys teaching and introducing people to ceramics. Emilie will teach you everything she knows from basic hand building to those who want to learn more complex skills.
