Do you need some guidance to make the most of your creative vision?
Sometimes artists experience a mental block. At other times they need a little help to shape a project or to set a new direction for their work. On occasion they just need someone to be accountable to and make sure that they progress.
If that sounds like you, my mentoring can help!
We work together online in a relaxed atmosphere. I’ll help you understand and refine what you want to achieve during or time together. We will set out a pathway to agree how you are going to get there. At the end of each call we will set action points to make sure you progress. You also receive a recording of the session.
Here are some of the things that I help with:
· Inspiration and ideas
· Shaping and progressing projects
· Developing style and vision
· Smartphone photography and editing apps
· Lightroom editing and visualisation
We can work together for as long as you need. You may need a simple piece of help or direction and we’ll cover that in a one-hour session. Or we may agree to work on a new direction or a project together over a number of months.
If you have any questions or want to work out if I am the best person to help you then please contact me.

The details
Mentoring is delivered online by Zoom at a time to suit both of us. Please note that you are not restricted to a 10am slot. You receive a recording of our time together so you can review what we have covered after our time together. All my sessions are one hour, but you can book a longer session in 60-minute multiples.
Knowledge required
This mentoring suits all skill levels from total beginners to experienced, and for all types of cameras from smartphones to high-end DSLRs.
What to bring
  • A computer, internet connection and the Zoom app.
  • A good idea of what you would like to achieve from our time together.
Your teacher

I am an experienced photographer and digital artist from Wiltshire. I have been creating smartphone images for many years. I have published four books of my work and my prints and cards are widely available.
I am also a professional trainer and have studied brain friendly learning. I deliberately work with small group sessions to make sure that you receive tips, personal feedback and inspiration.
I am experienced in all types of photography so I focus on making sure that you develop the style that is right for you. I love teaching clients how to develop new ways of seeing.
Most of my images are made as close to home as possible. This is both to minimise my impact on the environment and also to show what can be found and celebrated locally.
I love to wander in wild and lonely places. I also like local walks, cats, fountain pens, craft beer and chocolate.
