Join this moss wall terrarium workshop in Bow and learn how to create your own lush, vertical landscape. Whether you’re a regular at our studio looking to level up your skills or a complete beginner eager for a fresh challenge, you’ll be guided through every step of this hands-on experience.
You'll start by discovering the fascinating history and science that makes these self-sustaining ecosystems work. After a helpful demonstration, it’s your turn to get stuck in. You’ll begin by crafting a clay wall within your glass cylinder vessel, which serves as the foundation for your living art. From there, you can add moss, bark, and even slate to design your own miniature steps, before standing the vessel upright to plant the base layer. While the focus is on mastering hardscaping with moss and ferns, you’ll also have plenty of other vibrant plants like Fittonia to choose from.
Everything you need is provided, including a 20cm x 15cm glass cylinder and a circular perspex lid to keep your greenery thriving. It’s a low-pressure environment where you can switch off, enjoy the tactile process, and connect with fellow plant lovers.
You'll finish the session with a sense of pride and a unique keepsake to display at home. This class is a wonderful way to rekindle your creativity and walk away with a flourishing piece of nature that'll continue to grow and inspire you.

London Terrariums was born in 2014 out of a passion for gardening but not having a garden in London.
The so called renaissance of houseplants was just about to take off but we had no idea at the time by how much. We started LT out of our love of terrariums and the joy we felt when teaching other people how to make these miniature gardens. Ironically it has all been a very organic growth process.
We've collaborated with brands such as Meta, Warner Music Group and Chanel, and have cultivated a thriving community, planting over 10, 000 terrariums, hosting over 2, 000 workshops and earning 135+ online reviews.
Over the past years, we have moved from our Bermondsey studio to our former shop in New Cross, and now you can find us in our shiny new shop/studio on Bethnal Green Road. This is our base for making terrariums, holding workshops and inviting people in for a chat.
