Decorate a Photo Shrine - a Joyful Craft Workshop

Create a personalised, vibrant photo box shrine to honour someone or something special in this colourful workshop!

2.5 hours Class size 1 to 15 guests       £35

Inspired by traditional devotional folk art - in this joyful workshop, you'll create your own colourful, meaningful shadow box shrine that celebrates someone or something close to your heart. Perfect for anyone seeking a creative way to honour special memories or important aspects of their life, you'll transform a simple wooden shrine into a personal treasure using an array of beautiful materials.
Working in a supportive, playful atmosphere, you'll get to combine various decorative elements to tell your unique story. Whether you're creating a tribute to your best friend, a beloved pet, or maybe even your favourite celeb, you'll be guided through techniques that will help bring your vision to life.
Bring along your own photos, or print them at our studio to create a beautiful memory box packed with personality. Play with patterns, textures and 3D elements to create your own piece of unique wall or shelf art.
Surrounded by an abundance of inspiring materials - from shimmering mirror tiles and sparkling gems to rich paints and luxurious trims - you'll have everything needed to create something truly special. No artistic experience is necessary; this activity is all about expressing yourself and celebrating your memories through colour, texture, and meaningful decoration.
You'll walk away with your own vibrant photo shrine that you can display proudly - a daily reminder of what matters most to you!
At Something Good Workshops, we have a fully stocked bar with a great mix of drinks - from craft beers and cocktails to soft drinks and tea and coffee - so you can sip, snack, and have a proper good time! Got any special requests or dietary needs? Just let us know, we’ve got you covered!

Hi, we’re Emily and Jess, the creative minds behind Something Good Workshops!
Our journey began in 2019 when Emily launched Something Good Workshops (originally known as MADEptford) as a way to spread crafty joy and raise funds for running the London Marathon. What started as a one-time idea quickly grew into a passion for bringing people together through creativity. Since then, we’ve hosted a wide variety of workshops, from arm knitting to body casting, in all kinds of spaces - corporate offices, cosy pubs, pop-up shops, and even people’s homes.
After taking a short break, we’re back with fresh energy and an exciting new partnership. Jess has joined the team, and together, we’re on a mission to spark joy and empower people to explore their creativity in relaxing, welcoming spaces. We believe there’s something magical about slowing down, working with your hands, and leaving with something you’ve made yourself - whether it’s a chunky knit blanket, a personal shrine, or a collage bursting with personality.
What makes us unique? We’re all about creating an environment where people feel at ease, whether they’re a total beginner or a seasoned maker. Over the years, we’ve held workshops in so many different settings, and one thing always stands out: the joy people feel when they realize just how creative they can be.
We’re not just here to teach a craft - we’re here to help you unwind, have fun, and leave with a tangible reminder that you’re capable of making something good.
We can’t wait to meet you at a workshop soon!
