A private session built around you

A Private Session Built Around You

We talk about your photography, what you enjoy shooting and what you want to improve, then shape the session around your level, your camera and your creative goals.

Learn while we shoot

Learn While We Shoot

We head into the streets and photograph together. You can ask questions throughout and get practical feedback as we shoot.

Build your own way of seeing

Build Your Own Way of Seeing

Learn to recognise light, shapes, layers and moments before they disappear. I’ll help you put the ideas into practice, refine your timing and composition.

Create stronger compositions

Create Stronger Compositions

We will look at how to use layers, movement, backgrounds and visual relationships to build more interesting images.

Notice what others walk past

Notice What Others Walk Past

Street photography is often about seeing possibilities in ordinary places. We will work with reflections, shapes, light and unexpected viewpoints to find photographs in scenes that might otherwise seem unremarkable.

Develop your own visual style

Develop Your Own Visual Style

The goal is not to make you photograph like me. I want to help you recognise what naturally catches your attention, become more confident with your creative choices and leave the session with a clearer sense of your own photographic style.

This is a completely private four-hour street photography workshop in London designed around you. With more time available, we can go beyond a quick introduction and work through different locations, lighting conditions, and shooting situations across central London. The longer format gives us space to slow down, experiment, review what is working, and make adjustments as the session develops.
Rather than following a fixed lesson, I adapt the workshop to your experience, your camera, and the areas you want to improve.
You'll focus on:
  • Composition
  • Light
  • Timing
  • Focal length
  • Camera settings
  • Confidence photographing people
  • Visual storytelling
  • Working with movement
  • Finding stronger backgrounds
  • Simply learning how to notice more before pressing the shutter
The four-hour format also gives us more time to explore different approaches. We can work with different focal lengths, move between busier and quieter streets, look for different types of light, and spend longer on the areas that matter most to you.
You can ask questions throughout the entire session, and because the workshop is completely 1-to-1, there is no group to keep up with and no pressure to move on before you are ready.
By the end of the four hours, I want you to feel that you have not only taken stronger photographs but also developed a clearer understanding of how to approach a scene, how to make decisions more confidently, and how to recognise photographic opportunities that you might previously have walked straight past.
What you'll get
  • Personalised one-to-one guidance.
  • Time to explore different locations and techniques.
  • Practical feedback throughout the session.
  • Greater confidence developing your own approach to street photography.
Knowledge required
No previous knowledge or experience is required.
What to bring
  • Your camera, a fully charged battery, a memory card and one or two lenses.
  • Comfortable shoes and weather-appropriate clothing.
Location

I’m Rossano, the photographer behind PhotoRox.
I started photographing the streets around seven years ago, and over time photography became much more than simply taking pictures. It changed the way I look at places, people and everyday moments.
Street photography in particular taught me to notice what is easy to miss. A reflection, a gesture, an interesting patch of light, the relationship between two people, or a moment that exists for only a second.
London is where I do most of my photography, and it is an extraordinary place to learn. Every neighbourhood feels different, the light changes constantly and there is always something happening. The challenge is learning how to recognise those moments before they disappear.
That is exactly what I try to teach.
After years of developing my photography and sharing my work, I created PhotoRox in 2025. I also run the PhotoRox YouTube channel, followed by more than 8, 600 photographers, where I share real street photography sessions, composition, focal lengths, editing and the decisions I make while shooting.
But I believe photography is learned best by actually being out on the street with a camera in your hand.
My sessions are completely private. It is just you and me.
There is no group to keep up with and no rigid lesson that you have to follow. We start from your photography, your experience and what you want to improve. You can ask questions at any moment, and we can spend more time on the things that matter most to you.
During the session we walk and photograph London together. I show you what catches my attention, how I read a scene, how I decide where to stand, when to wait, when to move and why I might choose a particular composition, focal length or camera setting.
Sometimes the biggest improvement has nothing to do with technical settings. It is learning to slow down, anticipate what might happen and recognise a photograph before you press the shutter.
I have already worked privately with photographers visiting London from different backgrounds and experience levels, including people who chose to come back for another session.
One of my recent 1 to 1 workshops with Rui was also filmed for the PhotoRox YouTube channel, so you can see a real example of how one of my sessions works and the kind of guidance and interaction you can expect.
My goal is not to make you photograph like me.
It is to help you understand what you like, become more confident on the street and develop your own way of seeing.
If you finish the session walking through London and suddenly start noticing photographs everywhere, then I have done my job.
