Beginners Knitting Workshop

Hi, I'm Jessica, the founder of Jessica Jarvis Studio.Creativity has shaped my life for as long as I can remember. It has taken me across Europe, from studying Fashion Design at university to working with fashion brands in London, Milan, Berlin and Düsseldorf, designing knitwear, textiles and garments for global retailers and luxury brands.But through all of those experiences, I realised something was missing. So much of the creative industry can feel fast-paced, competitive and isolating. I wanted to create a space that was the complete opposite. A place where people could slow down, make something with their hands, learn a new skill and meet like-minded people.That's why I started Jessica Jarvis Studio Workshops.My workshops bring people together through knitting, sewing, embroidery, crafts and textile-based making. Whether you're picking up a needle for the first time or building on existing skills, every class is designed to be relaxed, welcoming and suitable for different experience levels. My goal isn't just to teach techniques, it's to help people build confidence, enjoy the creative process and leave having made genuine connections with others.Alongside running my workshops, I work professionally as a fashion designer and have taught fashion and textiles privately, helping students develop creative skills and portfolios. I hold a BA (Hons) in Fashion Design, have worked internationally with manufacturers and brands across Europe and Asia, and I'm passionate about sharing the knowledge I've gained from both industry and education.One thing many people don't realise is that making by hand is about far more than the finished product. Sewing, knitting and crafting encourage patience, mindfulness and problem-solving, while creating a wonderful sense of achievement. Seeing someone leave a workshop proud of something they've made themselves is the reason I love teaching.I can't wait to welcome you to a workshop and create something together.
