The studio is beautiful, Sorrel, was just lovely and so good with the kids (9 yr olds). Couldn’t recommend highly enough. Thank you to the whole team, and especially Sorrel.

The session lasted 2.5 hours and flew by. The atmosphere felt relaxed and welcoming from the start. The teacher was engaging, clear, and full of energy. She explained each step well and shared her knowledge of ceramics in a way that felt natural. Her enthusiasm made a big difference. The group was great too. Everyone got involved and the whole experience felt social and fun. We are sorry to see Sustainable Makers leaving Bow, especially as we only recently found them. Still, we plan to visit them again in Forest Gate and take another class. We look forward to picking up our pieces once they are fired in the kiln. Thank you for a great experience. Dragan and Zorka

Sorrel shared useful tips as well as historical tidbits throughout and made everyone feel comfortable, no matter their skill level. There was an initial intro into the material, tools, paints and also great source material to speak the imagination. It was a small group and I felt there was no pressure, and the pace was just right. Such a lovely intro back into ceramics - will definitely do another one!

She had information about different Goddesses from various parts of the world. She was really clear on what was needed for the statue to be structurally working. A fantastic workshop if you are interested in archeology, paganism or Goddess loving. It was fun, engaging and super creative. So well done!

Refreshments available on arrival. The process was talked through with examples and ideas available. The tutor was very knowledgeable, helpful and no question too silly. Now got to be patient to see the results......

She gave us loads of space and time to be as creative as possible with our ancient deity candles. We love them so much, would highly recommend to anyone new to ceramics or even seasoned ceramicists as a really lovely way to learn about indigenous artwork through the ages.

Overall, it was a very relaxed and chatty atmosphere! The studio itself has a great variety of glazes and works to be as sustainable as possible!
