Hi love! I'm Cathryn, a seamstress and maker with over a decade of experience. I graduated from London College of Fashion with a BA in Bespoke Tailoring and have worked across the luxury and bridal sector, with a particular focus on high quality alterations and crafting one-off pieces. My adoration for all things handcraft means I favour traditional techniques over modern short cuts to ensure my work lasts the ages. Many of the techniques used in couture and tailoring ateliers today haven't changed in centuries. An expert at repair, I believe every garment is worthy of a second, third or fourth life. Sewing is a skill for everyone, it just takes a little patience and guidance to get you there. Whether through one-one mentoring, small classes or professional work place training, I love nothing more than passing on these invaluable life skills and seeing students confidence soar.Whether you want to learn how to darn socks, alter your wardrobe or create a whole new piece, I'm your girl! Every skill and confidence level is welcome!
