What is silver clay?
*An environmentally-friendly recycled product, which when fired, becomes 99.9% solid silver of hallmark quality.
*Recycled from goods containing silver such as mobile phones and x-rays

  • 5/5 from Helen Collinson, attended May 2024: Lovely venue for a small group. Well organised and everything we needed was readily available. Louise explained the process very calmly and with knowledge. We learned a new skill and are very pleased with the very wearable jewellery that we created. Would recommend.
  • 5/5 from Gina Clarke, attended May 2024: Louise is a great teacher and I enjoyed the day immensely. Really good course! Lovely.
  • 5/5 from Laura Bailey, attended Mar 2024: The class was very interesting and great fun when you then try yourself. The teacher is really helpful and thoughtful. If you need a hand with anything she’s there but if you’re happy with what you’re doing she’s fine to let you carry on. I would recommend it to anyone interested!
  • 5/5 from Debbie Duell, attended Mar 2024: Brilliant way to learn a new skill. Louise was friendly and taught at the right level. She was very helpful during the practical bits when we needed assistance. I would thoroughly recommend the course.
  • 5/5 from Georgina Albinson, attended Feb 2024: My daughter and I really enjoyed the class, Louise was really patient and told us everything we needed to know and showed us exactly what we needed to do step by step to create some beautiful jewellery. Louse made us feel really at home and was really friendly…would come again. Thankyou! X
  • 5/5 from Sally, attended Feb 2024: The workshop was a Christmas present for my daughter and I. The whole experience was lovely! Louise was a great teacher and host. We couldn’t have asked for anything better. We both successfully made several beautiful pieces of silver despite not having any prior experience. Thank you Louise for a fab few hours tinkering with silver clay.

I design, make and sell my own unique handmade silver jewellery and also teach how to make silver jewellery.
I began my journey into silver metal clay whilst running a pottery studio and soon became hooked! The magic of turning a piece of clay into a solid piece of Hallmark Standard Silver never fails to amaze me and I love sharing this with my students and helping them create a lovely piece of jewellery that they can wear proudly home makes my job the best. I have worked hard to develop my skills and I strive to work to the highest standard.
I have over twelve years experience and I:
  • am a senior metal clay instructor
  • came third in an international competition held in Tokyo in 2024
  • had one of my jewellery pieces displayed in an exhibition in Tokyo in 2023
  • hold a higher diploma in silver clay
  • teach diploma levels 1 & 2
I mainly teach from my studio in Market Bosworth in Leicestershire. I also teach, and have taught, at various studios around the country including Chatsworth House, London, Nottingham, Northampton, Stratford, Birmingham, Melton Mowbray.
My classes are relaxed and informative, aiming to give all attendees an incredible experience as well as beautiful jewellery to take home with them.
Here’s a taste of what some class attendees have said about me:
“Gifted teacher and guides you through the process with hints and tips for each person along the way and has many years of experience, which comes across”
“She’s amazing”
“Great host”
I would love to meet you on one of my courses so please book as soon as you can.
