Argentium Silver Chains - One Day Workshop

This exciting in-person jewellery making class is held in Camden Town, London NW1.You'll get to learn a new skill while having a fun day out. Whether you're a complete beginner or a jeweller with existing skills, looking to explore working with Argentium, this workshop is perfect for anyone looking to get creative and expand their range of craft skills.This course (and all my courses) is designed for adults. I do not currently offer classes for children and teenagers. This class runs from 10am to 5pm with a one-hour lunch break.During this full-day class, you'll work through a series of samples of different chain styles before deciding which one to progress with to create your bracelet.You'll make each link in the bracelet from silver wire, as well as creating your own hook or toggle-style clasp to finish off the bracelet.Argentium is a relatively new alloy of silver - purer than the traditional Sterling silver, it is also more tarnish-resistant (it will stay bright and shiny longer) and less likely to cause problems for people who may be allergic to some metals.Argentium also has some great working properties that make it really great for fusing (joining together without soldering) and melting, which make it great for various jewellery making projects, including chain making.Don't worry if you're new to jewellery making - this class is designed to be fun, relaxed and to provide a supportive environment for everyone. With a small group size of just 3 students, your experienced instructor will guide you through the process, ensuring you feel confident every step of the way.All the materials you need will be provided, so simply come along on your own or with friends to enjoy a fun and creative evening. As you create your custom jewellery pieces, you'll experience the satisfaction of seeing your designs come to life. By the end of the class, you'll have a beautifully polished silver chain ready to wear.The workshop space is downstairs, so unfortunately difficult to access for anyone with mobility problems - apologies for any inconvenience. Have a fun day and leave with your own custom-designed solid silver bracelet chain, ready to wear or to gift.Drinks and snacks are available throughout, and you will also get detailed printed (or emailed) notes to remind you of the processes we've covered if you decide to do more creating after the class.Lunch is not included, but there are a lot of cafes close by.
