  £42 - £45 (£45 per guest when you book for 1 guest, £44/guest for 2 guests, £43/guest for 3 guests, £42/guest for 4+ guests) (PayPal Pay in 3 available)

Learn the joyful art of polymer clay jewellery making and create your own bespoke jewellery pieces in this private, beginner-friendly workshop in Kingston-upon-Thames. In a cosy, one-on-one setting, you’ll design, sculpt, and assemble beautiful polymer clay pieces, creating 1–3 items to take home. At the end of the workshop, you can choose to take your pieces home to bake and assemble, ask me to finish them for you and collect your jewellery at a later date, or book a follow-up session to complete everything in the studio.
This is a fantastic activity to learn a modern, creative craft with dedicated support and plenty of hands-on guidance. I’ll teach you everything you need to know, including how to:
  • Condition and handle polymer clay correctly
  • Mix colours and create custom palettes
  • Use cutters, textures, and shaping techniques
  • Bake, sand, and assemble your jewellery for a professional finish
  • Attach findings securely and confidently
To make the most of our time together, I’ll prepare the studio with a curated selection of tools, cutters, and colour palettes before you arrive. After your booking is confirmed, I’ll send you inspiration examples and style options so you can come with an idea in mind — though this is completely optional. If you already have a design or colour scheme you’d love to try, feel free to share it ahead of time. Otherwise, we’ll happily design together during the session.
You’ll have access to a wide range of polymer clay colours, glitter, metallic leaves, textures, and jewellery findings to create pieces that reflect your personal style. The workshop is paced to ensure you finish your jewellery during the session. You’ll leave with your handmade polymer clay jewellery and the skills and confidence to continue creating at home — feeling proud of the unique pieces you’ve made from scratch.
Biscuits and refreshments included – please let us know about any allergies or dietary requirements when booking.
What you'll get
  • All materials and tools including polymer clay, glitter, metallic leaves and jewellery findings.
  • Baking and finishing.

Hello, I’m Gökçen Ataman Tanyer, a sculptor originally from Istanbul. In 2020, I was honoured with the Sustainable Art Prize, which paved the way for me to be endorsed as a Global Talent in Fine Arts. Two years ago, I moved here with my family and our senior rescue golden retriever, Pamuk. I’ve always loved this country, and I’m delighted to now call it home.
I recently opened my studio, The Messy Table, a cozy single-room space at Portland Road Studios in the heart of Kingston upon Thames—just around the corner from Kingston Art School.
At The Messy Table, I offer a variety of creative workshops:
Private Tufting Classes, Punch Needle Classes. Available regularly.
Painting, epoxy and polymer clay jewelry...
Fun, social workshops designed for families, friends, or groups who want to play with creativity together.
My studio is still very new—so in many ways, I feel like a student alongside my participants. And of course, no session is complete without tea, coffee, and sometimes a visit from Pamuk, my 12 year old rescue golden retriever, who loves to be part of the creative atmosphere.
I’d love to welcome you to The Messy Table and share the joy of making something by hand.
