Indian Cooking Masterclass: Flavour packed, Street food & Coastal Classics
Join Rak Patel & the team for a hands-on cooking experience this latest menu is inspired by a combination of his travels to Goa and the recipes and techniques passed down through his family — the way he has learned to cook at home for years. This is real, homely Indian cooking, where spices are layered with care and every dish tells a story.
On the menu for Sat 26th Sept
Chilli Paneer (Indo-Chinese Fusion) — street food classic. Crispy golden paneer tossed with peppers, onions in a sticky soy-chilli glaze — bold, tangy and completely addictive.
Goan Prawn Curry — a comforting coconut curry inspired by coastal flavours and home kitchens in Goa
Homemade Naan — soft, fluffy and made from scratch without a tandoor
Served with fragrant basmati rice, a fresh kachumber salad and a cooling raita with a subtle twist.
You’ll learn the foundations of flavour, just as they’ve been shared through generations — simple techniques, honest cooking and food made to be enjoyed together.
Note: All ingredients are halal and the menu can be adapted for vegetarian options

Indian Thali — A Taste of Home
These are the recipes Rak grew up on — taught to him by his grandmother and refined over years watching his aunts cook, adjusting a pinch of this and a handful of that until it tasted right. Nothing here is restaurant food; it's the real, comforting cooking of an Indian household, and he'll teach you to make it exactly the way he was taught.
Methi Chicken — chicken curry with fenugreek (methi) leaves, finished with a yoghurt for the delicious creamy finish.
Roasted Aloo Gobi — potato and cauliflower roasted until golden and crisp-edged, tossed through a perfect blend of comforting spices — a twist on the classic dry-fried version.
Tadka Dal — soft lentils finished with a sizzling tadka of garlic, cumin and curry leaves poured straight over the top — my grandmother's comfort food.
Homemade Naans — no tandoor needed. I'll show you how to make soft, bubbly garlic butter & peshwari naans, perfect every time.
Basmati Rice — fragrant basmati rice, the everyday partner to any curry.
Gajar Salad & Cucumber Raita — grated carrot, red onion and peanuts tossed with lemon and coriander, alongside cooling raita, to balance the spice.
Papadums & Pickle — the finishing touches that turn a meal into a proper thali.
