4/5 from Nadine McKoy, attended May 2026: Great, small session to get more familiar with chocolate. Nice opportunity to try different chocolates and learn more about their origin.
5/5 from Michelle Brownlee, attended Apr 2026: Thoroughly recommend. Paul is an exceptional presenter, welcoming, well spoken and clearly enjoys his craft. Guiding us through a history and steps for bean to bar production, whilst encouraging all to sample and take turns in basic processes. It was fun to pick our flavour/decorations and pipe the melted chocolate into 3 bar molds. Paul's instructions where clear, easy to follow, even down to wrapping our bars after. While waiting to set we got to sample a lot of single origin chocolate from different countries. I really enjoyed the different flavour profiles. Paul did check with group during the session if we were all ok to over run a little. I think with a full group you may over run so I would allow extra time if your booking a meal or activities following. My son said he would give Paul a 6 star rating if he could and was extremely happy with his finished bars
5/5 from Lee Ker Peng, attended Apr 2026: Thank you, Paul, for an insightful and enjoyable chocolate workshop. The demonstration on tempering chocolate - tabliering was excellent, and I loved sampling the wide range of chocolates, from dark and milk to white and ruby. It was great fun creating our own milk and dark chocolates with the variety of ingredients available.
5/5 from Caroline Sanders, attended Apr 2026: Great fun and interesting to tske part in the chocolate making process! It was fascinating to hear about the history of chocolate and the geographical spread of the different countries and type of cacoa beans.Lots of chocolate samples to try too. We decorated and then poured in the tempered chocolate, piping patterns and words onto the bars before cooling them.Lovely to choose the packaging and turn our efforts into quite professional-looking bars of chocolate.Definitely recommended, thanks Melt!
5/5 from Sheila Kelley, attended Apr 2026: Yum! Yum! Yum! what a super fun way to spend an hour and a half on a rainy afternoon. Try the philippine chocolate, my favorite!
3/5 from Kishan, attended Apr 2026: We had a very enjoyable experience, however, for the price of the course there was a signifcant flaw for us. The activities we engaged in were: 1) a powerpoint presentation on chocolate, 2) physically extracting a cacao nibs from the roasted seed and tasting this, 3) seeing the nibs get crushed in a pestal and mortar and briefly engaging with this ourselves, 4) tasting the paste, 5) getting to set milk and dark chocoloate into a mould with our own choice of toppings, 6) tasting various chocolates from around the world. This was nice. The sad part was that the level of english of the instructor, in our opinion, was not good enough to host a session like this. As a result we struggled to follow along with a lot of the information that was given. They used words which we had to guess what they meant or were not explained (e.g., "tampering" chocolate - I assume tempering was meant and when we asked to clarify what it meant we did not understand the explanation, the beans were said to be "drawn" multiple times - we assumed she meant dried?). We did have to ask alot of clarifying questions, but eventually we felt rude in trying to understand some of her english so we just nodded along. She was very welcoming and hospitable, but for the cost I want to be able to clearly understand the instructor and feel like I've learnt something. I would still recommend the workshop but be aware that depending on the instructor you may understand more or less.
5/5 from Swen Lorenz, attended Mar 2026: Lovely teacher, amazing chocolate, and we loved taking home our own creations.

5/5 from Celine Ezzeddine, attended Feb 2026: I absolutely LOVED my class, I’ve been wanting to learn how to make chocolate for a couple months now after having a bit of a rabbit hole on it back in September of 2025, but I did not expect anything like what I learned today. Paul was amazing, he was so in depth with everything that he explained, taught us incredibly well with super helpful tastings to guide us further on what we were learning about while also explaining how each flavour came to life; shoutout to the 85% Philippines chocolate! The smokiness seriously shined through and made me fall in love with a new chocolate I never knew existed. He even gave us a book recommendation on how to learn more about chocolate as me and my partner left! Thank you so much for such an unforgettable night!

4/5 from Lynne Dustan, attended Sep 2025: The class was interesting and informative. It was unfortunate that at times the coffee/hot chocolate machine was very noisy making it hard to hear the instructor. Overall I would highly recommend the class
5/5 from Dany, attended Aug 2025: This class was great, it's taught in small groups and Paul was very knowleadgeable. It was great to have a session with someone with so much passion for the product and the craft - I learned a lot and it was a fun experience. We tasted a lot of chocolate and went through all of the steps to make chocolate as well!
5/5 from Kerstin Frie, attended Aug 2025: Brilliant class - we learned so much about the origins of chocolate making and the production process. We made our own delicious chocolate bars with toppings. We also got to try many variations of chocolate and learned about what makes them different. Left with a whole new appreciation for this food! Would definitely recommend!

5/5 from Maï-Linh Tran, attended Jul 2025: A delicious workshop with an expert chocolate maker! There was something for every taste: chocolate history, chocolate tempering, and chocolate savouring, of course. And as a result, three exquisite and personalised chocolate bars! A very good experience.

5/5 from Pooja Patel, attended Nov 2024: Great workshop! Had a great time and got to try some lovely chocolate :)
4/5 from Corinne Daniel, attended Nov 2024: Found the class interesting the lesson was a birthday present our teacher was lovely and the venue was pleasant. I felt it would have been better if it was more hands on we only had a small try at crushing the cacao beans individual pestle and mortars would have been better. Did not feel that I had made the chocolate and I would have appreciated a written summary of the information given as I came away questioning what I had learnt.
5/5 from Damini, attended Oct 2024: The bean-to-bar chocolate workshop was excellent, I surprised my boyfriend for his birthday, great gift/experience for couples. Both of us enjoyed it and learnt loads about the process of chocolate making in a fun and interactive way with the rest of the group. We tasted chocolates from all over the world, and it was fun to make our own bars and package them up! The ladies at the location are lovely too, very accommodating. I'd highly recommend.
3/5 from Carol Janes, attended Oct 2024: Disappointing and not what I was expecting. Your description of the class should be clear.
3/5 from Viraj, attended Oct 2024: Positives: The person taking the class was very welcoming and polite, she was obviously passionate about chocolate. The venue was pleasant. All the chocolate we tasted was excellent. Negatives: The class overran by around 30-40 minutes. We had plans afterwards and it meant we were tight for time. While it was informative, the only thing we did ourselves was decorating and filling the molds with chocolate. I thought we would be doing more than that. Maybe describing it as a chocolate making demonstration and decoration class would be more appropriate.
5/5 from Nicky Strong, attended Sep 2024: A really informative and fun Workshop with a very knowledgeable teacher. Would definitely recommend this class
5/5 from Olivia Noubissi, attended Sep 2024: Amazing presentation going through the history of cacao, chocolate making and chocolate tasting. We really felt comfortable with one of the best chocolatier having super educational insights. Thank you so much for your time and making this moment super special!
5/5 from Ma Edel Cabading, attended Aug 2024: The overall experience was great. We got to learn the how chocolates are being produced from scratch. We also had the experience to taste chocolates that were made from different countries. Although the space where the class was held was a bit small, it didn't affect the overall experience.
Melt Chocolates was founded in 2005 by Louise Nason, guided by a simple principle: the pursuit of health and happiness for her family and community. The name "Melt" came to her at the River Café in London, capturing how chocolate should dissolve silkily at body temperature, releasing over 400 complex flavour notes.Louise's ethos has always been: get the best raw ingredients, never compromise, and ensure everything is fresh. Today, that same philosophy is carried forward by Melt's top chocolatiers, who are now dedicated to teaching others what truly good chocolate should taste like, and how to make it.
