Hi, I’m Ashley Knight — a London-based sustainable designer, textile artist and upcycling enthusiast. I am a chronically ill creative and maximalist dresser known for my orange and pink hair and love of colour. I’m passionate about giving old materials new life through handcraft, repair and joyful design.
My creative journey began while studying fashion and exploring secondhand clothing — I became fascinated by the stories hidden in fabrics and how much beauty we can create from what already exists. That curiosity led me to develop my own upcycling process, weaving with discarded materials to make custom fabrics, which I use to create one-of-a-kind upcycled vintage denim jackets and handmade bows.
Alongside my design work and content creation, I’ve run workshops and creative projects for brands and charities such as Fashion Revolution, London Lonely Girls Club, New Designers, the British Textile Biennial and Crisis, helping people explore upcycling and reconnect with making.
I also speak professionally about sustainable and slow fashion, styling, and upcycled textiles, sharing my knowledge and passion for conscious creativity.
My workshops are relaxed, friendly and welcoming — designed to spark creativity, build confidence and inspire people to see sustainability in a new light. You don’t need any experience, just curiosity and a love for making things with meaning.
